This hooked to Alexa super easy. I can now lay in bed and ask alexa to turn it on. When I am getting ready for the day and forgot I left it on again I just ask alexa to turn it off. I have a dog, that insist on laying at the foot of bed every night. This machine helped with my breathing at night and pet dandruff that apparently effected me more than I knew prior to this beauty. I love this air cleaner. It automatically cleans the air and gets rid of every odor including anything skunky if you know what I mean.

    • The app does works, unlike some other air purifiers
They have a very easy to use app that connects easily and lets you remotely control the fan speed as well as set a schedule. I had a gocheer and they use an app called "tuya smart" that fails to connect if your wifi is both 5ghz and 2.4ghz. Modern android does not let you restrict your phone to 2.4ghz so it can't connect without disabling 5ghz on your router to force your phone on 2.4ghz just to get it connected. The govee app actually works and gives you the functionality you expect. The only downside of the govee is that the app requires location services to connect so they force you to share your location to connect the app to the device. If you are against sharing your location just to use the app, don't buy the govee. All apps likely do this, including the tuya app. Buy a non-smart air purifier if you don't want to share your location just to use an app. I had to ding it a star because of the app's requirement to know your gps location. It even requires the high precision to be enabled, it won't even be happy with a less accurate location that would still work fine for things like weather. I already shared my location, so I can't take my info back from them. I set the app so it can only read location when being launched, that way it can't spy unless I need to open the app to change the schedule. ... show more

    • Works well, affordable
This item works well and automatically adjusts its fan speed based on its PM 2.5 sensors. It's quiet and easy to operate via app and buttons on top of the unit. However, there are a few points that need improvement. 1. The design - it's a little flimsy in the back, where the panel opens up to replace the filter, and can be accidentally opened by kids or those unfamiliar with the product. It also has a too-wide air outlet right on top, so when it's not in use, dust and debris can just fall right into the motor and fan. Choosing to intake from the back is curious, but with the form factor, understandable. 2. Historical data retention - non-existent. The device constantly monitors air quality and reports it to the app, which then displays the overall status. However, there's no way to actually see the reading or historic quality despite the app constantly knowing what it is. This is strange and should he rectified - show us the data you already store to get your readings and calibration. That's about it. Other than the odd design and lack of meaningful data visualization, it's a good and affordable air filter that does what's advertised ... show more

Ordered one of their fans and was so impressed that I started researching their air filters. I placed the unit directly in front of the cabinet that houses the litter box in our laundry room and left it on high for about 5 weeks. Holy moly!! The pics are before and after vacuuming the filter. It has a green light on top and somehow it smells something foul and it will turn red. It does seem to pick up the humidity from the bathroom, but that’s ok. I am seeing a lot less dust/lint in the laundry room. It is super quiet if you want it to be. Love the app. Will probably end up with a couple of more of these!!! If you fight fluffy cat hair and laundry lint, JUST DO IT!! ... show more

I have this setup in my boys room because their room have that dry sweat smell. It does work at eliminating odor and it is also quick to pickup changes in air quality and auto adjust the speed if needed. I have a new puppy, and although he trained, he still has that puppy fur and hair. I have a few air purifiers going, but when I walk into my closed off room with the Govee, is smells fresh. My escape, I love it!
