The AROEVE Air Purifier MKD05 is a light weight unit that is able to be moved easily to where you want it. The chord measures 67" long or 5.5' so you do need to be somewhat close to an electrical outlet but it certainly is long enough where you should be able to find a spot to AROEVE Air Purifier plug it in easily. I have used in the past a more expensive air purifier that uses the three metal bars that attract dust to them. I have found those to be a real pain. They work great for awhile but it gets to the point where you just cannot clean the metal bars enough so the unit will work. So, my quest is to find one with a replacement filter so when the life of the filter is up you toss it and put in a new filter. That is where the Aroeve filter comes in. The filter is easily removed and can be vacuumed off during the life of the filter. There is a timer that keeps track of the filter life and lets you know when it is time to replace the filter. There is also an easy reset button to reset the timer when you replaced the filter. You will not need to remember which combination of buttons to hold to reset the filter. To me who forgets stuff like that easily this feature is a big plus! Push the reset button to reset! Amazing concept. I also searched the Amazon site and it is easy to find the MKD05 replacement filters. They are not as numerous as the MK04 version which looks about the same as this one but is a little bit bigger. The price on the replacement filters is reasonable, at the time of this writing they come in at a little under $30 US dollars. There is also a pet filter, but I did not research it to figure out what the differences are, but it is an option if you have pets inside your home. The controls (image 2) are on top and easy to understand without the directions. You have 4 fan speeds (High, Medium, Low, and Nighttime). You can manually set the speed or just use the Auto button and it adjusts the speed depending upon how much containments it senses in the air. It also comes with a child lock of you have little ones that like to press buttons. You can even set it to run for a certain amount of time (2, 5, or 8 hours). Filter replacement is super simple as well. the back panel pulls off and there is the filter with a tab for you to pull (Image 3 & 4). The fan pulls the air in through the back of the unit and then through the filter. The clean air is released through the top. The final feature that looks great too is the light ring on the top. If the air coming into the unit is pretty good the light will glow green (Image 2). If it is somewhat dirty it will glow yellow, and if it is dirty air coming into the unit it will glow red. We got this to see if it would help us sleep better. We're still deciding whether it's the the air quality or the white-noise factor, (or maybe both), but it does seem to have helped some with not waking up stuffy in the wee hours. It's quiet enough to sleep in the same room with, like a toned-down white noise machine, but with the much added benefit of air filtering. I like that it has an always-on, self-adusting setting, as well as a timer. The settings are pretty intuitive and self-explanatory to operate, but if you need to know more about what each setting does, it has a decent little booklet accompanying it. It's fairly unobtrusive, though a little utilitarian looking. The size (about 16 inches tall) works well on the floor or on a counter or dresser. It's not overly huge and noticeable. Mine does not seem to have come with the essential oil attachment. That would have been nice to have. ... show more

-Compact & easy to set up. -The power cord is long, so placement is unfettered by cord length. -Current price of $60 ($100-$40 off coupon) is very reasonable! -Love the air quality indicator lights (if they're accurate, see reasoning below). -The EO diffuser is a nice touch, although I haven't used it yet, I expect it to function as expected. -Quiet operation, you can barely hear it! -Option to select manual control or automatic based on air quality. -Replacement filters ARE available, and range in price from $20-30, with replacement recommended every 3-6 months (this is a pretty standard replacement interval). One discrepency - the manual states that the power adapter has a polarized plug and it does not. Why put in the effort of pointing this feature out and explaining the importance of it, only to NOT actually have this feature on your product?? One other thing...I have this next to the litter box in my laundry room, the one room in my house with the worst air - just linty, kitty cat air, and the air quality indicator NEVER shows anything but a green light. I've got other air purifiers that show air quality with color changes and those go off whenever I cook anything in the kitchen, and these are pretty far from the kitchen (one is upstairs & the other is about 30ft away), so it just makes me doubt the programming & efficacy of the air quality detection with this. My other ones also give a numeric value in ppm, and this does not. With all that said, it's good for $60, and I'll give it four stars at that price. I wouldn't pay any more than that though, and don't recommend this at the full price of $100, there's just better out there for that price. ... show more

    • Handy air purifier with pleasant tone
CFM: around 150 if I calculated it right. I have had small air purifiers that have an awful pitch to them. High pitched whines are annoying, lower pitches are easier to deal with. This has a lower pitch, so keeping it at an higher speed isn't as bothersome. I always recommend you run a purifier at the highest speed that doesn't annoy you rather than "auto" since most affordable purifiers have a weak sensor and/or non-aggressive reaction curve. I have this at my desk at work and keep it at medium all the time. I like that you can turn off all the lights while also keeping the speed at whatever you want rather than forcing it to the lowest speed. An essential oil pod is a neat extra. The filer and intake is only on the back, the front holes are decorative. Having a rear-facing intake is odd and I cannot recommend that design feature. You can use it backwards, but then the controls will be reversed. I also find that the included wall-wart power supply gets warmer than I would expect when running on high. Not burn hot or anything that seems dangerous, but it might be wise for the company to make the power supply beefier. ... show more
