I was looking for sharper knives for cooking and gardening and I decided on this set. I was chopping vegetables with one of the larger knives the other day when it fell off the counter and on my right foot. The knives are SHARP! I know this because that knife took a piece of my big toe upon falling on my foot. I would post a picture of my injury but no one wants to see that. For the price so far I am impressed. I received these in a couple of days ago and I mounted the magnetic bar to my wooden kitchen cabinet. I knew I did not want to mount the magnetic bar with screws because I did not want this to be permanent, and did not want holes in my cabinets. According to the reviews the double sided sticky tape was not going to be an option for me, so I used my old handy standby…3M command strips as these have never failed me. I used three command strips one on each end where the screw holes were and one right dead center. This was a very tight and secure mounting and with all of the knives on the magnetic strip you cannot even see the pull tabs for the command strips. The plus is I can remove this andmove it any where I want to and at any time. The knives are extremely sharp and I am enjoy using these for normal kitchen prep, thumbs up from me. ... show more

I used the knife for chopping last night. While cutting up potatoes for some smashed potatoes, I didn’t realize I had chopped a chunk off my finger. I only noticed when the juice from the potato went into my open wound. I would’ve rated these 5 stars but a expensive trip to the ER took one away.
