And every hour or so, I had to slip them back up under the short sleeves of my shirt. The long and short of it - I use sleeves as opposed to long sleeve shirts as a layer underneath motocross elbow / forearm guards. They add very little bulk yet offer a high level of comfort as opposed to wearing guards in direct contact with skin. This material is surprisingly high quality for all the more they cost and the fitment is fantastic. This fabric breaths exceptionally well, stays put and doesn't restrict wearing an over garment such as a jersey or jacket. These are excellent medium quality compression sleeves. They are generic stretchy fabric sleeves, with a slightly tougher wide elastic band sewn around the ends. The skin tightness of the fabric, stretchiness of the fabric, and the elastic band help keep the sleeve firmly in place even with vigorous movement. They are skin tight but not suffocatingly tight as long as your biceps are not super large. They stretch from the wrist to about half way up the bicep. The fabric is close woven and blocks out most of the light. If you stretch it out and look through a single layer, you can see the light from a lightbulb pretty clearly but shaded. Through two layers, it is blacked out. The poly fabric and the close weave works great at blocking most UV light, while being breathable enough to feel nice and cool. Overall, these are a great value arm sleeve. They aren't as durable as some of my thicker arm sleeves but hold up well for most activity that doesn't scratch and tear at the fabric. ... show more

I got these for my daughter who recently started playing volleyball, not sure that they are really needed but she is happy with them. I guess they may soften the blow when using your forearms to hit the ball. They fit her well and now she looks like a pro. They seem to be a one size fits most as they are stretchy and should fit a variety of arm sizes. ... show more
