Used this reel on a 10 day Salmon Fishing trip to Alaska. Limited out nearly every day. Very light and well built reel. We were Combat Fishing from the shore of an inlet and had to land the fish fast and get it out of the water. We punished these reels and they performed flawlessly. We were using Goture 8' 6" medium rod with a Goture 4000 reel. Casting a #5 & 6 Vibrax Spinners. Was able to cast very far with out much effort. Would highly recommend this rod and reel combo

The media could not be loaded. So far this seems like an extremely nice reel. It's supposed to reduce backlash, so, fingers crossed, because that's one of my biggest issues with an open reel. It's not heavy, but it's got some quality heft to it. It is very smooth moving/ turning, and I'm anxious to get it onto my rod and start fishing for the season. It's also a very nice looking reel. The instructions are super detailed and tell you everything you need to know from casting to setting the drag, and then some. Hoping it brings in many fish this season.

I liked this reel it was a 4000 everything about this reel was awesome. Here's the problem! When I was putting the handle on the reel making it straight and tighten it up I couldn't because it was missing the other end cap to tighten the handle so I can't use it at all it's a big bummer for me maybe a mistake just didn't think they wouldn' forget to put the original part Which is the main situation to this reel.

This reel is well built, feels solid. I think it’s pretty good looking. Unfortunately, some of the metal is actually plastic painted to look like metal. That being said, it’s a little pricey. This reel has a strong smooth drag. I enjoyed casting with this reel in my pond. It was easy to switch the handle to the other side and make all of my other adjustments before fishing. This is a pretty standard functioning reel and I didn’t notice it being any lighter than my other reels.

Honest review here. My husband loves this and immediately replaced his old reel with this one. He loves that this Goture Spinning Fishing Reel is super light at 7.8oz and has a high crank rate of 6.2:1 and a max drag of 33LB. Not to mention he loves how smooth the crank is... The all carbon fiber body with aluminum spool really contribute to that light weight feel... It's ideal for a day of lake fishing or freshwater fishing. He also loves that the double shielded ball bearings and instant lock anti reverse prevent issues with the fishing line that prevent tangles. This reel can be used for light tackle fresh or saltwater fishing. Also love that it comes with a lifetime warranty for parts! Well done!

This is a pretty nice fishing reel for the price! First off, it feels nicely made and doesn't feel cheap. It is very easy to setup and use - I am no fishing expert by any means and I was able to figure it out with no issues. The reel itself works as it should and I have been using it for quite some time and it is still functioning like a charm. I caught quite a few fish with it, so I am happy! All things considered, this may not be for everyone, but for me, it has been doing its job very well and I am quite pleased.
