I have tried different e-bikes when traveling and non of them are as good as this one. It's really powerful when the battery kick in and it's effortless after that. It only took me about 15 mins to assemble and the packing and instruction is very good. As long as you are familiar with bikes it should be pretty easy. I can feel the quality of the bike when assemble, surely a product that will last long. since it had extra battery the weight is a bit heavy so it may be difficult to carry around if you need to. I also like the folding feature which helps me pack this into the trunk so I can easily bring it with us in an SUV. I haven't test out the range completely but this easily last for a whole day. highly recommended if you are looking for an e-bike. It's really fun riding this little bike! ... show more

I've had this bike for a month, have used it almost daily, and I've been having a great time on it. While this is really best used as a city/paved road bike, it can and will handle compacted dirt road riding. It has no shocks, so it's not ideal, but it's doable. I live out in the country where only half, if that, of the roads are paved. My daily trip to pick up my mail is 4 miles round trip with only about a block of that being paved. I've swapped out the seat that it comes with in favor of a larger, thicker seat with better springs. If you're going to be on paved roads the manufacturer seat should be just fine, though. It's a very nice seat, but my roads necessitate something more forgiving. I'm surprised at how lightweight this bike is. I can easily pick it up and move it in and out of my storage shed. It has really good maneuverability and rides very much like the non motorized bikes I grew up on. Thanks to the fat tires it corners well and holds the road, even the unpaved roads out here. I do about 80/20 straight powered riding and peddle assist and find both modes to be easy to manage and control. I do wish the throttle wasn't the whole grip piece however. I feel like it's too easy to accidentally throttle when your hand is on it the entire time. I like bikes that have a lever style throttle that can be depressed with the thumb. The battery has been stellar on this thing and I've gotten multiple days of riding without ever getting below the second light on the battery indicator. It has a fully height adjustable seat post and handlebar neck, bright front light, rear light with brake flash, keyed on/off, battery charge display, reflectors on the wheels and handlebars, and a cute little finger activated bell. Assembly was fairly simple and the directions were comprehensive. The tools needed were included. Adjustments I've made to improve my personal riding experience: Larger, molded seat with more cushion and shock absorption Additional rear light with turn signals and a handlebar mounted remote controller for added safety and visibility Rear view mirrors Insulated battery sleeve/cover to protect the battery from the full force of the Florida sun Handlebar post mounted gear bag Seat post mounted cable lock Go-pro handlebar mount *My overall opinion of the Gotrax S3 is that it's a thoughtfully designed, well built eBike geared towards commuter travel and city riders, but with the versatility to go a little off the beaten path. (I absolutely would not recommend trying to trail ride on this bike! It will rattle your brain and teeth.) It has great battery life and power. It's a comfortable ride, but the lack of shocks do ensure you'll feel every uneven surface. All in all though, it's a fantastic bike and a really fun ride! ... show more

Overall the bike is pretty good quality and very comfortable to ride. It goes pretty fast as well and is very stable. It’s perfect for leisurely travel like getting to school in the morning or going to the store. Very easy and good instructions for assembly

I bought this for my daily commute and this bike impressed me a lot. First of all, it is so easy to assemble that takes me no more than 10 minutes. I like the seat as it is large and firm. I used to ride a normal bike to work but suffered from the flat tires caused by goatheads. But I don't have this concern anymore with such a fat tire. Also my commute is much easier now with the strong power. I am also surprised that even I use it on daily basis I only need to charge it once a week. Definitely a good choice for commuter! ... show more

Absolutely blown away by this E-bike. As soon as you open the box you can tell how well it's built. The assembly was very easy and it is a very good looking bike as well. The 20mph max speed seems correct but I got it up even higher going downhill. The pedals are great but it's also nice you you can just use the throttle and not pedal at all. The throttle is a twist throttle on the handlebar like a motorcycle or moped. LED display is very nice as well and I love the safety lights for night riding.
