I got this for my 12 year old. I had to guide him and help balance him the first couple times of use. It does take a little time to get used to, however I feel like he mastered the use of it within about 15 minutes. He did need to build up some confidence before going on his own, but he was rolling all over the house on his own in no time. We have wooden floors and the hoverboard glided smoothly on it. The battery is long lasting. It’s durable and sturdy. It can hold a good amount of weight, so it’s great for kids and teens. My husband tried it given he is close to the weight threshold (175 pounds) and it carried him along just as easily as it did my son, it has a pretty powerful motor. It turned with ease, I was able to control the movement swiftly with my feet. I was surprised with the performance, it has some get up and go and it was much easier to use than I expected. The lights are a great addition and it even has a Bluetooth speaker. The sound quality is great and a very cool feature.

I got this for my grandson for Christmas last year. He loves it. It’s not one of those gifts that gets thrown into the back of the closet and never seen again. He has used it everyday. My son loves this Hoverboard and there was an issue with the item due to him constantly riding this machine. As the item was outside the 90-day warranty period I was not expecting such a remarkable and quick customer service response by Ms. Fiona from Gotrax Support Team. Very frustrating to spend a good amount on a toy that only last 6 months. My daughter received this hoverboard for Christmas and after 5/6 months I thought it was the charger that wasn’t working so I purchased a new charger cause they wouldn’t send a replacement and no it’s the hoverboard that no longer charges. Save your money unfortunately I have a heart broken little girl.

The media could not be loaded. So far, once they got calibrated, they have worked great and been super easy to use. Almost no learning curve for my ten-year-olds. Decent battery life. They love them. Edited to add (11/24/23): Oh my goodness! These are the absolute most durable little things ever! My girls have been giving them heavy use ever since their birthday last August and they've been nice little workhorses, but now I'm even more impressed. Last week one of my girls left her hoverboard out in the rain. Like, I don't even know how she got it so wet. When we picked it up the water was literally pouring out of it like water from a pitcher. If she had dunked it in a barrel of water I don't think it could have been wetter. I was so sure the poor hoverboard was a goner. But, ever living in hope, we let a fan blow on it for a few days to try and dry it out. Then we charged it up and she turned it on and it started right up, good as new. Seriously, the best value for the money I've had in a really long time!
