I use these throughout a 2-story house with most windows on the east and west sides, in order to maintain a comfortable temperature by opening/closing windows and blinds. I can minimize HVAC usage by naturally cooling rooms that become too warm (open the window or block sunlight) and warming rooms that become too cool (close window and open blinds). I turn on the HVAC only when these actions can’t keep the house comfortable. These thermometers are small enough to place where they are needed and sensitive enough that I can note changes in temperature quickly when I adjust windows and shades or turn on a fan. Batteries last a long time - have not changed any yet.

Bought from a review from a cruiser who recommended this as cruise ship rooms are not always warm/ cold and staff doesn’t always believe room is freezing, this proves it. This is my second as I think I left the first on the ship cabin wall, it is very small, but accurate. Cabin was freezing and it was 90+ outside, was able to prove my thermostat wasn’t working with this and they fixed my thermostat, without it they wouldn’t have. Easy to put in bag to travel with magnetic so will attach to cruise ship wall. Highly recommend this Seller, packaged nicely and fast shipping. Appreciate the recommendation from another cruiser.

I kept feeling the humidity in my house was too high and cranking down the temperature of the central unit didn't help. I bought this is check the temp AND humidity level and did some online reading as well. I discovered that it is best to run the airconditioning fan Only when the cooling function is on (ie "AUTO") and having the fan run continuously as I had been doing makes the house more humid. Using this device verified that .... it meant i didn't need to call for service for the "humid" feeling.

I like the built in stand, light weight and easy to read numbers. I tested it against another thermometer (of the same kind and another type) and they were all close in temps (over 105 degrees F in my garage). I also like the AAA batteries rather than a small round disk type. Now the only thing I don't know is how long these will last but my first impression is, for my needs, it's a keeper.

We got this to keep track of the temperature in the garage, since that is where my husband exercises at night. The temperature is accurate, but the humidity is off by a few percent from time to time. We know this since we've tested with other devices and also, we live in Florida and sometimes the humidity level will show as less in the garage than inside the home. Otherwise, if you only need accurate temperature, this is a super affordable unit that has large numbers.

Update: Put both of the meters in a 1.5L Tupperware container along with a integra boost 62% humidity pack for a couple of days. One meter reads 62%, the other 60%. Given that both of them stablized to temperatures within a degree of a lab reference thermometer these two particular meters I bought are very accurate for the price I paid. Original Review: Put in the batteries and set these (set of 2) up next to a lab reference mercury thermometer I have. Both of these initially read over 5 degrees Fahrenheit higher than the lab reference. Initially I thought I was going to return but I noticed that they were slowly dropping their readings so I let them all alone. Took more than 45 minutes, but both of them stabilized within .2 degrees F of the lab reference when measured at a temperature close to the lab reference temperature of 20 deg Celsius. That's pretty good for the price I paid. No comment on humidity accuracy as I don't have a high precision reference to compare them to. Surprised though that they took so long to settle down. Not an issue to me since I will be monitoring slowly changing temperature environments.

I purchased 3 units to measure temperature and RH in various rooms. There is about 0.3 to 0.5 degrees variation in the temperature readings across the three units. RH registered the same. Very versatile and handy mounting options. I like the small size of the unit but the display is very reasonable. Good product and very affordable.
