  • Smooth fast cutting
Size: 2" Dia,1/2 Shank, 4-Wing Style: Surfacing Bit 1/2 Shank
I use to rough out, initial passes, and it works well. Some of my slabs are not consistent thickness and this bit cuts quickly. This pin oak is hard . Bit lasts. Very little chatter.

  • Nice router bit
Size: 2+2 Insert, 1-1/2" Dia-1/2 Shank Style: Surfacing Bit 1/2 Shank
It does a great job flattening boards. Since my shop is small and I don't have room for a planer this is a great alternative. Having changeable cutting blades is a nice economical feature.

  • Works Well
Size: 2-3/8" Dia,1/2 Shank, 3-Wing Style: Surfacing Bit 1/2 Shank
The 1/2" shank and needed for a cutting diameter of this width. I tried the 3/8" in past and they always bent on my (scary). I've used this now for flattening several slabs and built a 4'X9' dinning table. Cutting teeth have held up well, but are also replaceable (and you can rotate them).

  • Good surface planning bit.
Size: 2+2 Insert, 1-1/2" Dia-1/2 Shank Style: Surfacing Bit 1/2 Shank
The bit cuts an inch and half wide path. Bit will require a 2hp or more router. Bit is difficult to control if making more than a 1/4” deep cut. Carbide cutters are very sharp and stayed sharp cutting out a tray 1 1/8”deep 17” X 10” depression in hard wood.

Surface planned several logs for hours over weekend, didn’t skip a beat. Logs as smooth from start to finish.

Bought to use on my router sled making slab tables. Works great, stays sharp

  • It held up well under load.
Size: Coated 1" Dia,1/4 Shank,3Wing Style: Surfacing Bit 1/4 Shank
I chose this 1" cutter because the only router I have is 25k rpms, single speed w/ ¼" collet. I had a project to make 24" cookies from Sugar Maple and my chainsaw skills are not good. They needed to be flattened and leave a sandable surface. I made a router Jig and hogged off as much as it was able to, a little less than ¼" at a time. I found out that Maple is about #3 on the hardness scale for common American cabinet lumber. The cutter did not care, I found out during the sanding process how hard it was. The cutter being so small and I was pushing it hard, the finish was not the best. For the money I thought it was a good buy. ... show more
