I’m extremely happy with this GOTRAX folding electric bike! It came well packaged and was very easy to assemble. The build quality feels solid and sturdy, especially for a folding bike. The 500W motor has plenty of power and easily reaches 20 mph. The pedal assist works smoothly, and I really like having 5 different levels to choose from depending on the ride. The battery life is impressive — I can ride for quite a while without worrying about charging. The fat tires and front shock absorber make the ride comfortable, even on bumpy roads or light trails. I had been wanting a folding electric bike that I could use for both commuting and casual rides, and I finally decided on this one. Setting it up was straightforward, and the instructions were clear, so I had it ready in about twenty minutes by myself. The frame feels strong and sturdy, and my first ride had no wobbling, which immediately made me feel safe. The motor picks up smoothly, and the top speed of around 20 miles per hour feels comfortable for daily rides without feeling unsafe. The battery has been reliable too. On pedal-assist mode, it can go just over 50 miles, so charging once a week is plenty, and it only takes a few hours to fully recharge, which I usually do overnight. I also really like the folding design; it takes just a few seconds to fold, and once folded, the bike is compact and easy to carry. I can fit it in my car trunk or take it on the subway without trouble, and the weight is easy to manage on my own. Riding is smooth thanks to the front suspension and wide tires, which absorb bumps well, and the dual disc brakes respond quickly, adding to the sense of safety. The bright headlight and rear reflector make riding at night easy and visible. Overall, this folding e-bike feels practical, safe, and enjoyable, and it works well for both my weekday commute and weekend rides.

Looking for an upgrade to my previous e-bike, and this one does not disappoint! It comes mostly assembled and finishing the assembly took about 30 minutes. The ride is very smooth thanks to a comfortable seat and the shock absorbers on the front tire. It’s easy to see that the bike is constructed well. The battery life is great, haven’t needed to charge it very often. It’s easy to turn on, the assisted pedaling is a great way to get more life out of the battery. It also accelerates really quickly, much faster than the bikes I previously owned. Very pleased with the overall performance of the bike. It’s priced a bit higher than some of the other e-bikes on the market, but the performance and quality justifies the price. Very happy with the purchase.

They do not support this model anymore! You cannot get another battery. I’ve emailed, I’ve called, I’ve contacted the manufacturer of the battery directly. GoTrax support responses by email are generic and read like they are generated by AI. Customer service on the phone is outsourced to other countries and they just say sorry the battery is sold out. Taotao is the manufacturer of the battery and they won’t sell one directly and redirect you to Gotrax. This bike is worthless without the battery. If you get one that works you are lucky. Also the design is flawed. When folded it doesn’t lock to prevent unfolding and the hardwired connection to the removable battery is exposed when folded and easily damaged if tipped over. Because the bike is so heavy and not well balanced it has fallen over multiple times on me including the first day when unboxing. The mounts are not metal but plastic and I already broke the mount for the display because of the poor design and cheap parts

I got my G2 Yesterday. Previously I have seen reviews about how hard it is to assemble the bike, and I will swear to my experience, that it was remarkably easy and intuitive. Finding the key hole was a little difficult, it is on the bottom of the frame (where it folds, on the handlebar side), and I had a little panic when as the led did not start immediately. That said, it just needed to be charged, it did not come with enough charge to get the battery out of safe mode. This morning, more precisely about 15 minutes ago it took it for my first e-bike ride ever, and it was a delight. Where I live there are hills and curves and road defects to avoid and it road smooth and steady. I mostly leaned on the throttle as I bought the bike to get me from the gym to work with no pedaling, and it preformed better than I expected. I pedaled maybe three times on particularly steep hills, but I do not think that it would have made it on it's own rather I wanted to preserve on the battery use to have another ride later because it was such a good experience. All and all it is not a motorcycle, nor a electric scooter, but it is exactly what I and I believe tons of people need, and space efficient no sweat way to travel a few miles, perfect for single car house holds where people commute near each other but shifts are staggered. My biggest challenge with this bike will be not riding it for fun so much that I don't have battery power when I need it for business.

I’ve been using this electric scooter for a while now and it’s been a great experience overall. The large wheels make it suitable for all kinds of terrain – from smooth pavements to slightly rougher roads – which adds a lot of versatility. It’s also foldable, making it really easy to store or carry when not in use. One of the best features is the high battery capacity; it lasts longer than I expected, so I don’t have to charge it constantly. The only downside is that it requires a physical key to start. While this adds a layer of security, it also means that if you ever lose the key, you won’t be able to use the scooter at all. It would be great if there were a backup option or app support for unlocking.
