Very impressed with this foam! I bought it to make cushions for my breakfast nook bench. Toddlers sit there and booster seats weren't staying put so I bought the 4 inch foam to act as a booster seat with the added bonus of comfort for them. I haven't cut it yet or gotten started on making them, but I love how firm this foam is! On the edges, yeah you can pinch it down to about one inch, but when you sit on the actual cushion, it hardly goes down half an inch even under me at 160lbs. Very comfy and feels durable. It was packaged well, with plastic wrapped all around it. The box itself was pretty filthy but that's not really the fault of the company I imagine. After I pulled it out, I noticed a dirty spot on the back side but I can't tell if that happened from the foam landing on the dirty box as it opened or if it was like that before it was packaged. I own a Custom Canvas And Upholstery Business and do a lot of repair work on Boat seats, golf cart seats, bar stools, and anything else that you can put foam pad on.. I even made some custom Pet Beds for some large dogs. The foam is easy to work with and cut to size. It's durable, soft enough, and sturdy. It holds up well, even on boat seats and pet beds.! Our guest bed is a German bunk bed so the mattress has about a six inch gap on it. Originally I wanted to just fill it but decided to add a headboard pillow instead. This foam was absolutely perfect. Not that it matters to you, but it was the exact size I needed and it felt magical, you know. Like when do you ever get the chance to buy exactly what you need for a diy with no leftovers?? Anyways, I used the 24x72” (5” thick firm) to made the gap filler pillow (the white one) and then added a second pillow that overlaps the mattress a little (the teal one) to add more of a buffer to the floating shelf. Since adults sleep on this bed, I wanted to make sure no one hit their head on it, as it’s a little intrusive. The firmness was perfect, soft but really supportive. When leaning on it with a good book in hand for a while, it didn’t buckle or sink and I never hit the little shelf. As far as working with the material, it was really easy to cut. Since I got the 5” thick one, I had to make multiple passes with my trusty snap blade, but it when through with ease. Some tips though: mark out a line on three sides to make sure you’re staying perpendicular and not making an angled cut; hold the blade at a 45° angle and pull, if you feel resistance you will get pills and a messy cut. I only had a few little foam fuzzies to pick up at the end! Overall I will be purchasing all my upholstery and cosplay foam from here because I just loved working with it. I felt like the price was good for material that was simultaneously easy to work with and functioned extremely well. ... show more

4 stars because: 1) delivery people didn't drop off at our place, but across our resort & didn't notify us, so we had to tracked it down 4 days later. 2) review is only 2 days into use. The pad itself come securely wrapped in the box. It seems to be very good quality. It is firm, but not hard solid, so laying it is very comfortable right now. Noticed the first couple days that there could be dents (long term) if your bum is sitting or laying in same spot...but this is the semi firm, so could be expected. Very good. Better than what originally come with my couch which was basically loaded springs with an inch foam. I attached a picture of before and after pic of the garbage I was sitting on vs this. I got the firm one, it's a little hard but will probably last longer. You might wanna go for semi-firm for optimum comfort. I recommend ... show more
