Description

FoamTouch upholstery foam is made in the USA. FoamTouch upholstery foam is made of Polyurethane. High Density foam has a compression rate (ILD) of 44 lbs. ILD is a unit of measurement and refers to the number of pounds (lbs) of pressure or force that is needed to indent foam to a depth of 4” by 25%. This test is performed on an area of 50 square inches. High density foam is designed for that firm feeling for those who do not want to sink into their couch. FoamTouch has 100% recovery rate, 5-7 years durable and suitable for long-term use. All foam sheets are sold per sheet, not per yard, and rolled for packaging. Foams are rolled under pressure to fit the box. The foam packages need to be opened immediately once you receive them. Do not let the foam sit unopened for more than 1 week. Do not open with a box cutter or any kind of blade. Use a ball point pen or a pencil. Start by making a little incision and break the seal (tape) from there. I had surgery five days ago. I knew I would be recuperating on the couch and my couch is terribly uncomfortable. The cushions are thin and the spaces between the cushions feel awful when sat on. I put down a thick blanket over the seat but I could still feel everything underneath it. I decided to go with memory foam. I did a lot of research and was just about to buy an egg crate foam strip elsewhere for $16.00 when I decided that two inches of foam would be much more comfortable. I got this one at the last second and am glad I did. The difference between sitting or laying on my couch now verses before the foam is huge. This foam is very comfortable, protects me from the awful cushions and spaces between them and just feels good. I have slept well with this foam cushion on the couch and I have no intention of taking it off when I am recovered and back in bed. We did cut off several inches from the side since it was too wide. My cat took over a big piece of that and he now curls up on his own little foam bed. I may get one for my queen bed. We have a topper but it doesn't feel as good as this by any means. I made the right decision in going with a more expensive cushion rather than the egg crate or a one inch thick one. This one is definitely worth the money and mine had no odor at all which I saw some complaining about. I can't find a con so I am going with 5 stars. ... show more

I needed to replace the seat cushion on my leather recliner. The old cushion had springs inside it that had tangled and left large lumps to sit on. I cut the new foam to size using a straightedge and an old paring knife, used the old batting (I forgot to buy new batting) and put the seat cover back on. I was concerned that this polyurethane foam cushion would be too soft, but it turned out to be a little stiffer than the old one! I'm sure that it will 'break in', but in the meantime it's not uncomfortable, just different. As an ex-puppeteer, I've worked with poly foam in the past; this product has superior density and feels like it will last for many years. ... show more

I was skeptical buying these but my old cushions were making my couch uncomfortable. These replacement foam inserts are great quality! They are very firm and fit perfectly in my cushion covers. We can’t afford a new couch and these replacement foam inserts are going to extend the life of our couch. I will say they are much firmer than I anticipated and wish they were a little squishy but I imagine that will come with time and use. I bought these: (a) 4x24x96. 5 stars! I used this to replace the old rubberised coir inserts of the seat cushions of my heirloom 3-piece settee. I followed a couple of good YouTube videos on DIY upholstery inserts. This was delivered very quickly. Out of the package, I left the foam open on a flat surface for 2 days. This foam is easy to cut with a bread knife. I wrapped each one in Dacron/ Batting as recommended in the DIY video. The new inserts fit the cushion covers really well and are light but firm and comfortable. Each seat cushion is 24"x20", so I got the 4 seat cushions easily; I have enough left for one more cushion. (b) 2x30x72. 4.5 stars. I used this to replace the old insert of a bench/ diwan seat cushion. The foam had a 30 inch swath of yellow-ish discoloration (see photo), which I had to work around. Hence 4.5 stars. Otherwise, the density, firmness and comfort work well for my bench cushion. ... show more

This foam worked out perfect to replace the cushions inside 24"x24" Tommy Bahama patio cushions. Way cheaper then replacing the actual cushions! Cut easily, sturdy feel, the real test will be how long the firmness lasts in the Texas weather.

I wasn’t sure if I was getting the right foam for my chair, so I used some freezer paper to make a template of the chair cushion cover, and measured using that. I cut the foam using an electric knife, and started a little larger than the template so I could slowly size it down, and not overdo it. Another reviewer suggested to cover the foam with cloth so it would slide in easier, and I was able to use the original covering that was on the cushion. Then someone suggested to gather up the cover like you were putting on a sock, and gently pull it up on both sides, and this worked great! I zipped it up, and voilà! It fit great, and the cushion is nice and supportive, yet comfortable. Looks like a new chair! Thanks to the reviewers who passed on their helpful hints!! ... show more

Density of the foam is as promised. Very comfortable. Looks durable. However, dimensions are INCORRECT. We ordered a 24x24x6 piece and received a 24x23x6. So, we were shorted by 1 inch. Fortunately, we were cutting down one end, so it worked out. But if I had needed a 24x24 x6 piece, I would have been extremely upset. ... show more
