Flavor Name: Cherry Blackout
Anyone who knows Derek knows he puts a lot of thought and effort into these products. He researches and reads existing studies on every ingredient to determine efficacy and safety. There is almost no "fluff" added to these products other than the flavoring that goes into them. Speaking of flavoring, that topic is highly subjective, but I find the flavors I've tried to be some of the best tasting I've had for this kind of product. Generally, don't enjoy the taste of workout supplements at all, but I find these to be some of the most tolerable I've had. YMMV on this though. As far as results go, I find this works as well or better than any of the other many brands I've tried. Some reviews seem to think the stim isn't strong enough in these and yet other seem to think it's TOO strong. It just goes to show you can satisfy everyone. At around 175 mg of caffeine per scoop, I find it just right. You can take up to 2 scoops, but I always stick with just one. He does not include beta-alanine in the product which I appreciate (it's the ingredient in some pre-workouts that gives you that tingly or itchy feeling on your skin). I happen to like beta-alanine so I add it separately (which they also sell), but my wife hates it, so it's nice it's not here. Speaking of which, my wife uses this stuff regularly as well and really likes it. The last thing I'll talk about is the clumping - I've seen a lot of reviews that complain about this. As I mentioned before, this product doesn't have a lot of "fluff" in it. There is a silicon dioxide packet to prevent moisture absorption, but he doesn't seem to add anything to the powder itself to improve the texture. As such, the powder is more like flour, and less like sugar granules. I personally have no problem with this and find that it dissolves in water beautifully, but I can understand why some people might not prefer the "flour" texture as it might appear to be a bit more "clumpy". I've purchased 4 cannisters of this stuff so far and have had 0 issues. If there are any small clumps, they are always soft and easily broken. Flavor Name: Fruit Punch
The taste isn’t very good, it’s not bad, but I personally find it to be very sweet. It makes my face tense up, not to mention it doesn’t mix in very well it has a chalky feeling when you drink it no matter how much you shake it up. If you’re the kind of person that likes to enjoy drinking your pre-work out, there are definitely better options. If you’re only interested in boosting your stamina, and workout intensity to push out those last couple extra reps. This is the stuff, I have solid energy from the start of my workout to the end even when doing high intensity resistance training. The one big side effect, is since this allows you to really push yourself. Once its effects wear off, you’re going to feel some serious fatigue.     • Really Good Preworkout But Quality of Taste Depends on the Flavor
Flavor Name: Watermelon
Overall I found this preworkout great! It does the job and I’m honestly feeling good after 1 scoop instead of 2. I used to take the Legion Pulse preworkout, and they’re pretty similar except this one doesn’t really give me the spiky tingly sensation. In regards to flavor. Volcano Burst was SOOOO good so good. It was fruity and refreshing. I drink my preworkout with about 1/2 to 3/4 of a cup of water, and it was good. Compared to the legion one, which was actually terrible. However Watermelon was so so so bad. It was similar to legion in terms of flavor which surprised me because I thought legion sucked in flavor due to it being more natural. Watermelon was so chemically and had this almost bitter flavor to it. It tasted like there was tons of chemicals. I highly don’t recommend this flavor. Taste is really good (Fruit punch flavor atleast). The new formula is really good and improved, has a very slight chalky texture, but compared to other preworkouts with the same dosages it isn't even noticeable.
