I was apprehensive due to cost and the negative reviews, especially about the durability. However, this is a purchase that has made me very happy *I love the cushion factor (compared to a regular yoga mat *My hands and feet don't slide at all on this mat (as I did on my regular yoga mat) *So far I have not had any issues with durability, but I use it solely for exercise/yoga and I do keep out on the floor most of the time, but I don't casually walk on it. *My only wish is that I would have bought blue instead of black, and maybe a larger size (XL?) although this one (Large) is plenty large for my 5'4" frame. This isn't a size you would probably take to an exercise class or studio, but for home it is awesome! *I have had NO off gassing chemical smell with this product as I was worried about based on someone's review (I believe it is made of all natural material based on what read on the company website, can't recall for certain). *The mat came well packaged, but not in a box, but a large yoga bag with the labels on that bag. I was in new/unused condition as it came from Gorilla Mats, not some 3rd party seller (well...I guess amazon fits 3rd party seller..so maybe I mean 4th party seller?) *This product makes me very happy and it is nice to say I have had no regrets about the product or the cost. Larger than a basic yoga mat, and rolls up neatly (with Velcro straps) to tuck out of the way. Nice and thick, with lots of support for my tailbone!

Large Mat great for using with DDPY. Beware: you will slip around a little bit, in certain positions where you need grip, for a couple weeks if you have sweaty hands and feet. Stick with it though. It will get better. After using for a couple months, I’m happy with it.

Repurposing the old fashioned formal dining room into a yoga/exercise space. This mat is perfect for moves that extend beyond the boundaries of a regular yoga type mat. It’s soft, easy to roll up or out, there is no odor, and doesn’t move at all on the wood flooring.

I like the mat just fine, but the mat looks teal in the "oasis blue" photo, yet it comes in a royal blue. Shown in photograph next to a teal velvet ottoman. I would rather my room match if I'm spending over $100 for a mat, but I'm also not the type to return. Would have preferred grey.

This mat is just right for a man my size. No more trying to fit on the little skinny yoga mats. Yes it takes up a lot of room but so do I when I stretch out on the floor. It is great not to roll off on the floor. I like to cool down by relaxing with a pillow after my workout. All smiles here.
