I have a large German Shepard Dog (GSD) that curled up at the edge of my living room area rug every time he laid down for a snooze in his favorite place. Not only was the turned up wrinkled rug unsightly, but as an older person, I was always concerned about tripping and falling. It was a daily job to straighten the rug, and the folds that occurred over time were always visible, until I tried the Gorilla Grip Rug Grippers. These little gems not only straighten out the folds in the carpet, they also prevented my GSD from curling the rug up. He still naps in his favorite location, but no more problems with a curling rug. The issue is completely resolved. Thank you Gorilla Grip! Highly Recommended!!! PS: I used these rug grippers on a second area rug in the dining room with one curled up corner. The installation on this rug was my first attempt. I did not position them correctly. I have not yet attempted to removed and re-install the rug grips at this location, so I am not sure how well that works yet, but I plan to try soon. PSS: I have other Gorilla Grip products in my home and found each one does their intended job just as well as these Rug Grippers do. I ordered these after talking to a friend who had the same problem with her rugs sliding around. These did the trick! I ordered 1 package of 8 but misunderstood the description and thought I was getting 8 pairs. As small as my 2 rugs were, I used 4 per rug — I only needed 2 for 2 corners (diagonally) to hold the rugs in place. So 8 ended up working fine for two 2’x3’ rugs. I think you’d probably want to use all 8 grippers for a bigger rug though. I’m glad I can finally stand on my rugs without them sliding out from under me and I can vacuum them without chasing them all over. ... show more

These grip fo reals. I installed them on a new kitchen rug - basically the most-used rug in the house, and I've had no problem vacuuming the rug, no tripping on the rug, and my cat loves to use the rug as a scratching pad, so we've done what we can to un-seat the rug, but it's not moving. I can't speak to removing them, don't want to do that while it's working so well. ... show more

I didn't realize the rug I bought (from Target) wasn't padded underneath so my son's toddler bed kept sliding. less than 48 hrs this arrived and now the rug slides no more. easy to install, just a few stickers to remove that are labeled rug/floor, stick them on and you're done!! not sure if they remove easily - since my rug is washable but I'll just vacuum or spot steam clean it if I need to. ... show more

These have been securing my entry rug for 11 months with recent ‘detachment’ of two pieces at the most highly used area. Not sure if just wear or someone tried to lift the rug to clean under. What I am most impressed is that there is zero residue left in the wood floor when I lift the tape piece to change for a new one. You can see an outline but that is just dirt and easily cleaned. I don't write many reviews, but I had to write one for this product. I have a 2'x6' rug on my kitchen floor that I have struggled with since day one. The bottom left corner wouldn't stop curling up, no matter what I tried to stick it down with. The corner of that rug is directly in the line of foot traffic going through the kitchen/house and gets walked on, kicked, trampled and scuffed over all day long. I tried several other products to stick it to the floor, but every time, within a few hours, the corner would be curled up again. At one point, I even tried a permanent adhesive, which worked for maybe a day. Searching for a solution, and reading the reviews, I decided to give the Gorilla Grip Strips a try. Happy to report, it's been several months since I installed them and the corner of the rug has not curled up at all. Not once. I can't recommend this product enough. It's amazing. If you have rug corners that curl up and drive you crazy, get these strips and your problem is solved. ... show more

Bought these because a rambuncous puppy dog I had kept sliding on the rug on my hard wood floors. With these, the rug felt like it was a professionally installed carpet, it didnt move at all. Great product.

I'm accident prone, and moving into my first apartment by myself with hard floors were tough. My feet were the first things to get cold, so naturally I got some rugs to put in key areas where my feet touched the floor the most.
