It arrived in a timely manner, the box was beat up and a hole was in the box due to a wheel pushing through. With the hole came a missing corner piece but really I didn't need it so no biggie on my part. I liked that it was already assembled. The board is made of compressed materials but it is very sturdy. I like the shape of the board and that it is low to the ground. I like that there is a hole to use as a handle or to attach a rope so you can pull things. Thankfully I have not had to use it yet. I bought it for an odd reason...my 84 year old mom has Parkinson's and is falling more frequently. I'm 62 and not that strong to pick up the dead weight while she is on the ground. When she falls in the house, all I have to do is get her to the stairs so we can get her bottom on a stair step, have her hold the rail and pull herself up. This last time I got a tarp in the gargage, and dragged her to the stair step. With this item, all I will have to do is slip her bottom on the low to the ground dolly, tell her to hang on and weee, off we will go. I'm sure you will use it to move something much more normal like furniture or appliances and I'm very confident this item will do the trick.

This is a revision to my earlier review after I ordered two more of these dollies. The dollies are great but there is a problem is quality control and shipping. One of the two additional platforms came with one of the foam pads incorrectly attached. Rather than adhered to the platform it came rolled up and was impossible to unroll and apply correctly. This did not happen in packing or shipping and was obvious before the dolly was put in a box. Rather than return this bulky item I will try to find some adhesive foam locally. A small hassle like this negates the ease of ordering on line. The original review: Sturdy and simple. It is a plank of MDF, rounded on the corners with a single hand-hold radiused, for ease of handling. No finish is applied, just raw MDF. The MDF is 11/16" thick and spans 16", caster to caster, in the long direction. Will it hold 400 lbs? I don't know because I use it to move packed plastic bins around an office on a smooth floor. All 4 casters are swivel so it is ease to maneuver. Casters have a center bolt up through the MDF, which is less likely to rip out than 4 wood screws. I assume the nut on top of the caster bolt is inset and covered by the rubber pads. If headroom is an issue there is a slightly lower version on Amazon but apparently only two of the casters swivel, making it harder to maneuver. This platform dolly is so simple that I decided to build some of my own until I looked at the cost of good casters. I could not beat the price and convenience of buying these on Amazon. My only complaint is that each dolly is shipped in a cardboard box that is a tight fit and contains no packing. One of mine showed up with a dinged corner which could have been prevented with a piece of cardboard wrapped around each corner. Still, the two I ordered work well for my purpose and I am ordering two more.

I've purchased a total of 4. Two different orders. Each arrived in a substantial carton, no damage, and nothing to assemble. It is not the cheapest dolly you can buy, but you get what you pay for. The wheels are large and roll easily. Platform is large, thick and sturdy. I store large plastic storage tubs (2 or 3 high) on them. Very convenient to roll them in and out of closets and around my house. My entire house has tiled floors so they roll like a dream ( I can even scoot them with my foot). They roll well with more effort over my low pile area rugs too. The black circles on the platform are rubber disks to prevent items from sliding off while you're pushing. I may buy a couple more for the garage to store things I need to move around, ie buckets and tubs of ice-melter, potting dirt, etc. Note: There are no braked wheels on them, but a brake wasn't important to me. Also, they cannot remain outdoors, the platform is a wood composite material.

Contrary to my low expectations after reading some reviews on how the wooden dolly or wheels were damaged in transit, I was very pleased by the sturdy cardboard packaging used to ship my dolly. It was love at first sight! The size of 23" was a perfect fit for my needs. The wheels were of good quality too and the ball-bearings were well greased. I'm content!
