Anyone searching for a solid deshed/detangle brush. This thing is amazing, I watch a groomer on my Instagram who used something similar to this on two dogs with similar coats to my Malinois and it worked great for him. Mika's coat is FOREVER shedding and we were having a hell of a time finding a brush that would do anything to help. This one has two sides (fine/coarse) and the tips are rounded for the dogs comfort. While I could brush Mika for hours and probably still pull fur out...this thing made quick work of the heavy stuff! AND it got to the pesky undercoat. I had a Pomeranian and half worth of fur after brushing her out and it only took about 15-20 minutes. Wish I did a before and after! Only con may be that it loads up with fur pretty quick...but most every comb/brush will do that. The hair does pull out super easy from the brush. ... show more

HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this product. I have three cats one of whom has had matted fur for several months. We’ve tried every brush you can think of he would fight. This brush cleared the matted fur with no problem and my cat loved being groomed by this brush. My other two cats who hate being groomed, purred and nuzzled further into the brush. The GoPets Dematting Comb is a great tool for keeping your pet's fur looking healthy and groomed. The two-sided professional grooming rake is easy to use, and it does a great job of removing tangles and mats. I've used this comb on my cat, and it works wonders on her long hair. The comb is gentle enough to avoid causing her any discomfort, but it's still effective at removing tangles and mats. The two different sides of the comb are also great for different types of fur. However, I did have some issues when I tried to use this comb on my golden doodle. Unfortunately, it didn't work as well on his thick, curly fur. The comb seemed to get stuck in his fur and didn't do a great job of removing the mats. Overall, I would still recommend the GoPets Dematting Comb for cats and dogs with shorter or thinner fur. It's a high-quality tool that is well-made and easy to use. However, if you have a dog with thick or curly fur, you may want to consider a different tool that is specifically designed for that type of fur. I'm giving it 4 stars because while it didn't work well for my golden doodle, it's still a great tool for other pets. ... show more

I love this comb. I have three large dogs; two being Great Pyrenees mixes and one is a Husky/Irish Wolfhound mix. They have very different fur types and this comb is able to handle it without causing any pain for them. I even use this on my cats, who apparently think they are just getting a great deal of petting because they lay still and purr until it is done, then wind around trying to get more attention. The comb is very comfortable with its cushioned handle. There are two sides to the comb, allowing for different fur types and needs. And, it is very easy to remove the fur from the teeth.     • The most incredible grooming tool ever!!!
This is the MOST amazing de-matting grooming tool ever invented...My poor long hair Siamese kitty was covered in a couple of dozen mats (I know, I should have been brushing her regularly but I’ve been super sick so don’t judge). The mats were small, medium, large and huge. She’s always been a nervous kitty so I really didn’t want to subject her to an electric trimmer if not absolutely necessary. Besides, the gal that grooms my dogs charges $70+ for kitties and that’s just the de-matting service. So I read a lot of reviews on quite a few de-matting tools on Amazon and finally settled on this one, which just so happens to be very reasonably priced (yay). I liked the feature of having two sets of blades, one larger for breaking up the mats and a much finer set for breaking them up further so they could simply be brushed out (or at least that’s the theory). Let me say that this tool is absolutely brilliant, both for kitties and for very thick coated long hair dogs (my Great Pyrenees). To be really cliche, it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread...honestly. I first brushed kitty with the tool using the side with the larger, further spaced blades, just as the instructions say. I really had to get the precise spot of the mat and although initially I was brushing only in the direction her fur grows, I found it critical to brush in every direction in order to break up the largest toughest mats. Then using the side with twice as many blades, either the mat broke up completely OR came away from her skin far enough for me to cut it out with a small pair of scissors without injury. And much to my surprise, kitty actually thoroughly enjoyed the entire process. I did do one side one day and waited until another day to do the other so it would STAY and enjoyable experience for her. Goodness knows she had to be very uncomfortable with all those mats (and yes, I do feel VERY guilty...so don’t judge). As for my Great Pyrenees, this tool is hardy enough to get through her very very thick, very coarse coat and even though she doesn’t have any mats right now, they are pretty much par for the course if you have a dog with a coat like this so this tool will eventually come in very handy for the Pyr too. Since kitty’s coat is very fine, hopefully the blades are still as sharp as they were in the beginning. BUT even if I have to buy a new one to use on my dog’s super thick coat, it’s well worth it. I have used other de-matting tools (on various dogs) but none have been anywhere as good as this one. So definitely 5 stars and 5 stars for every feature. I’m just glad kitty didn’t have to endure an electric clipper and also that I didn’t have to spend $70+ on a kitty torture session. ... show more
