This comb I ordered for my long-haired dog and cat, as the head swivels so you can just swivel the head of the comb if you want to change it to the other side. However, I noticed that it really pulled on my Persian cat's hair especially, and made him angry as I think it hurt him. I cannot recommend these unless used on shorthair animals.

My dog's hair tangles very easily, and of course, brushing it was not something either her or I enjoyed. However, with this wonderful brush, brushing time has been much easier, and now she actually enjoys being brushed! It helps so much with tangled hair, in a way that doesn't bother or hurt my dog. It is easy to hold and feels so comfortable.

I have never used a comb with rotating pins before and boy does it make a huge difference in the grooming experience! Wow! If you have ever groomed a pet with long hair, it can be a nightmare when using the wrong tools. Many brushes and combs pull and yank. I can't even count how many occasions when combs have actually gotten tangled into the knots of my cat's hair!!! We want grooming to be a pleasant experience, not something to dread! This comb has rotating pins making it much less likely to get tangled. It glides through long hair easily, removing minor tangles and knots WITHOUT yanking them out. It does a great job combing out the undercoat and doesn't scratch my cat's delicate skin. The handle is textured and made of anti slip rubber, making it easy to use even when wet. It is comfortable to maneuver and hold in my hand. For grooming a pet with long, thick hair, this is a must have!

This comb works great for my Shihpoo who currently has medium/long hair for the Winter. I was in search of a comb that would help with matting as he gets matted hair near his ears, legs, and behind. This works perfectly. The rolling pins roll freely which has made brushing normal and matted hair a breeze. It’s a small brush, so it may take a bit longer for a larger dog breed but is very quick for my Shihpoo. The handle is a grippy, texturized material and is very easy to hold onto. Overall, I highly recommend this to anybody in search of a new brush.
