I bought this as a secondary bike mount, since my current one is high in my garage wall, and I got tired of lifting my 35 pound bike over my head several times a week, given I'm now classified as "elderly", LOL. So, I placed this one on the opposite wall, but at ground level (bike tires on the floor), to insure it didn't fall against my truck, if the handlebars turned accidentally, in my rather small garage. The rack arrived intact, other than 1 missing nut, which was of a common size I had on hand. It was easily installed, 3 screws in the stud, and 3 on the mount pieces, themselves. I really like the fact the hooks are adjustable to the slant of my top bar. The telescoping center piece is also helpful, as it allows adaptation to different width handlebars, and/or distance to the wall. My other mount is fixed, and has neither of these features. That being said, it has thinner metal, and appears a bit more flimsy than my than my other one, which is just fixed thick steel, and this one has the moving parts, too, with screw and joint points weakening it, of course. Though it's perfect for my application, not sure I'd trust it for a heavier bike, with wheels off the ground.

I bought this to hang my bike on the side of the garage so it would be safely out of the way. It does the job, making it easy to lift my bike onto it so it’s not in the way of the garden tractor or other items that could knock it over or damage it. It wasn’t too difficult to put together, however the directions that came with it were obviously for a different model (the picture was of something else and it referenced pieces that weren’t included), but we eventually figured it out. The price was good.

Product works good, looks good and was pretty simple to install. Even though I measured, it sticks out further than what I thought and wanted (for my bike). All I need is for it to go 2" closer to the wall to be perfect. :-/ I do have to use a bungee cord to keep the wheel straight. I was going to do ceiling hooks from the garage because it's more space-saving but my wheel base is narrower than the joist distance so I went with the wall mount because it takes much less work to mount this as opposed to mounting a 2x4 across my ceiling joists and then adding the hooks. I went with quick and simple!

It seems well constructed and well designed, except for the screws enclosed. I installed it 7 feet off the floor. After completion I put on a 32 lb bicycle. This then slipped to the side. As I grabbed the bike my additional arm pressure caused the whole thing to rip off the wall . I landed on my back without injury. Turns out one of the screws broke. I reinstalled using 1/4 inch lag screws instead.
