  • Terrific stand… especially disc brake bikes
The stand is great quality, super easy to setup and use. Definitely buy this if you’re looking for this style bike floor stand. You won’t be disappointed.

  • Good stand, a little better than the Feedback Sports version.
The problem with bike stands in general is that none of them will ever be able to do everything well. Some bikes have kick stands, some get leaned against walls, some left on their sides, others use silly prop stands under the bottom bracket, many bikes are hung from walls in garages via their frames or their front wheel, some are pushed into multi bike storage racks with big steel loops, other lightweight bikes are suspended by their saddles, some people invest in these portable storage stands, and no doubt other storage stands and methods are also in use. As far as using these lightweight portable stands go, my main priority is to avoid bikes falling over. There is no point using a stand where it increases the likelihood of damaging a bike! After that, and as strange as it may sound, it's about avoiding contact damage with the stand itself. I simply don't want scraped rims, marked spokes, bent disc brake rotors, or damaged rear derailleurs. If your bikes are clunkers, just get a heavy bike rack or don't bother with a stand at all. Seriously. The Topeak LineUp stand is well made, reasonably stable, versatile, fairly easy to use, portable if needed, and affordably priced. One should always keep in mind that this is an indoor stand intended for careful home use. In my opinion it's better than the version made by Feedback Sports. It accommodates different bike types and different wheel diameters without any hassle. It also folds up readily if that matters to you (unlike the Feedback Sports stand which instead has dangly bits designed to link multiple stands together in a row). Being a stand-alone design the Topeak can be put anywhere as needed, which is actually an important feature for me. Realistically, the stand is not suitable for very heavy bikes. I'd say up to 13 or 14 kilos would be a sensible limit, but there is a common sense component involved which requires any bike to stand upright and support the bulk of it's own weight. The idea of using a swing arm to grip the tyre is generally more appropriate for lighter bikes, so there is no point making the stand base any wider or heavier. XC bikes are fine but if you have a bruiser of a downhill bike you'll probably have trouble with this type of stand. Road bike tyres can sit a little loose in this stand and cause a slight lean, but road bikes also weigh less and the design allows for them just fine. A bike' tyre sits on the stand and the bike is supported (kept upright) by the spring loaded arm which presses a V shaped roller against the back of the tyre. Bikes need to be rolled into the stand rather than lowered onto it. It's normally done reverse park style using the rear wheel, but road bike front wheels can certainly be nosed in without any problems. Though, a couple of times I've almost had an accident docking my road bike, when I wasn't paying attention and the front wheel wasn't rolled all the way into the stand ;-). The good thing is the stand itself never gets near the spokes, disc brake rotor, or the rear mech. Barring rough handling coupled with a deflated tyre; bike rims are very well protected (even then, the tyres sit in plastic material with no sharp edges). Mudguards (fenders) would probably get in the way unless they were high at the back, but I haven't any bikes with mudguards regardless. I also like that Topeak stands are not painted black, making them harder to trip over and easier to find! Recommended for careful people (lightweight bikes with no kick stands, no sitting on bikes in this stand, level ground, careful use, safe location, etc). ... show more

  • Falls over with bike
I originally purchased 2 for my mountain bikes. It folds up nicely for easy storage, however with the bike on the stand it not stable with the short legs that hold the stand up. I still use it but I have to keep the bike supported against the couch or eventually it falls over with the bike. I wouldn’t recommend this for any type of mountain bike. May work better for a road bike. ... show more

  • High quality folding bike stand, compact and sturdy
This Topeak stand is a high quality folding compact bike stand. Works extremely well and the material seems to be well made. My bike fits perfectly and is held very steady. The bottom of the feet have thick rubber pans making this safety usable on hardwood floors. Mine was made in Taiwan. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Topeak top quality item confirmation
I do own a Styriette BionX bike. My space to park or store the bike is limited. The space require a storage where straight up possition is required. Also very handy if a second bike need to parked along side. Very much space saving. The Topeak LineUp Stand, offers this due the bike is parked straight, possitioned as of the bike is cruising. The Stand is very well made, light but does the job of keeping the bike straight. Parking the bike is very easy but in my case with this model bike I can park only with the front wheel, due the rear fender hangs very low over the rear tire. Very much recomended for any bike, and owners that likes quality upon and for there investement. A very much recomended product! Thank you! ... show more

  • Works great for kids mountain bikes - perfect for disc brakes.
Works great, used it on mountian bikes without built in stands. Only complaint is stand is a bit light so can slid on cement when docking bike if not lined up properly. That said our 4th grader has no problem using it, keeps the bike very secure and does not come near touching derailleur or disc brakes so no worry about cable stretch or bent rotors. Great product, easy five stars. Update: I have switched to The Feedback Sports storage model it is just as effective and 25% less expensive. Only real difference would be if you are going to store the rack or take it with you on car trips etc... the Topeak's arms fold in and would take up less space. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001F9YQQO/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00 ... show more

  • A bit tipsy
I keep my bike (mountain bike) on my screened-in porch and I didn't want to lean it against the screen or the wall, so I got the stand. The support legs are short (about 4.25 inches), so a slight lean of the bike puts its center of gravity close to the tipping point. I live in the desert of southern New Mexico and we get a strong windy season here from March to May. I don't think this stand will stay up. However, if this stand were to be used indoors, I think it would do a good job. I'll follow up after the serious winds begin. Update 7/2/14: Windy season is over. Bike fell down five times. Probably best for inside use (garage or spare room). ... show more

  • Well built, portable
Fairly easy to use. Holds a bike pretty securely. Folds down very compact for storage or portability. It can be a little tricky to use in tight places (I stored bikes inside a small tent), and given enough force it will allow the bike to fall over (but it takes quite a bit).
