Misses Shops Too Much.... ....has a favorite Pink kickboard that she uses during part of her lap swim workout. We have newer, nicer looking kickboards, but she always chooses the pink one; because it's pink. It's also ratty looking. While not *all* pink, she can enjoy one side of this one, which I would describe as typical and of the same, somewhat soft material that our other kickboards are made of. The colors are about how they appear on the product page/photos, maybe a little lighter (less saturated). On my kitchen scale, this weighs 4.2 ounces. By comparison, her old one weighs 6.6 ounces. I measured this and her old kickboard; in general, my measurements match what is shown on the product page, except that I measured from the top of the board in the center, down to the bottom center edge (which contours in). This board, my measurements: 15 3/4 inches "high" (top to bottom). 11 inches wide just shy of 1 1/4 inches thick Old board: 17 1/2 inches "high" (top to bottom). 11 1/2 inches wide just shy of 1 1/4 inches thick The material it's made of feels very much the same as her old kickboard; you can sort of see tiny bubbles in the texture of the XPE foam. After using this one for her swim workout, here are her observations and a direct quote: She is 5'10" 120 pounds and was a competitive swimmer for many years. First a quote: "If you're not a superior kicker, you're going to struggle a bit..." This board provides less flotation compared to her current board that was measured against this one. She perceived the firmness of the board to be less. Taking the board at each edge and trying to bend it, her old board felt a difficulty of a 10 (strongest) even though the material looks the same, a type of foam. This one felt like a 6 - 7. This board seems best suited for youth/children or very strong adults. Most photos on the product page show this in use by children. The very last photo shows a strong looking adult. Misses Shops Too Much will likely alternate using this one with her "old faithful" but it will not be a replacement. This appears to be of adequate materials and workmanship, but if shopping in a brick and mortar store, she would not purchase this. Although not perfect for her use, I've given this an overall 4 star rating based on *perceived* quality of materials and use for the proper audience. I hope this review has been helpful and enables you to make an informed purchase decision. I rarely give an overall 5 star rating.

I bought it for my 10 year old son for swim practice, and he says it works fine. He doesn't use the hand cut-outs, which I assume are for kids of a much smaller size.
