After searching and searching for the perfect technical sock FOR WOMEN in a WOMEN'S SIZE and finally bought the Gonii Women Socks. I loved that this brand was the only one to offer these very fun colours along with all the described technical points but, overall, I wanted a sock that would really fit me properly and not pinch and bind my ankles and calves. I don't know who ever decided that extremely tight socks are healthy or comfortable -at all!- I gave my sister a pair of these socks and we both wore them today. We walked like crazy the whole day and they are THE BEST socks ever! They don't fall but they don't pinch or bind your legs, they hug your feet in a super nice way staying in place, they are warm, cushioned, super soft, and have the nicest colours! The media could not be loaded. I got these socks about a year ago. I loved the colors but was disappointed that one of the pairs had a hole in the toe the first day of use and already was thinning on the balls of the feet. I decided to try the other pairs since I got them on sale. I was very impressed with the others. I wear them once to twice a week and work in workbooks outside all day most days. I still have 2 pairs that are now thin but intact and still vibrant in color a little over a year later. They do not make my feet sweat like others, have quality padding, and they keep my feet comfortable both in the summer heat and the winter cold. I am considering purchasing them again and seeing if the pair that fell apart early was just a fluke. ... show more

The thickness of this sock is more like a typical athletic sock, and like a good athletic crew, it gets high marks for both comfort and arch support. I would not characterize these socks as particularly thick, though they are thicker than a thin crew. A note about comfort - while this sock was sufficiently roomy for my size 8.5 c/d width feet, I suspect that if your feet are bigger than a women's (US) size 9, you may find the sock too short. It is a somewhat stretchy sock, but it's already getting towards the limits of its stretch on my size 8.5 feet. I do love the colors in the assortment I got. All the colors are marled shades. The darker blue goes really well with faded blue jeans, and the green (which is a fairly light green, but definitely not neon) is especially fun as an unexpected pop of brightness. ... show more
