Overall the bed is great, it’s sturdy and was easy to assemble. Only issue is there are some scratches in a few spots. I decided to keep it because it is too much of a hassle to pack it back up and send it back. Plus I have company coming and need a place for her to sleep 🤷🏻♀️

It would work well for a kids bed because you know kids break every thing. Lol Im 6'3 and 280 and it holds my weight. The slats have welded supports so I think it really would hold 1,000 pounds. Definitely something that could work for you if you're obese 400-500 pounds. It would be better than milk crates. A pice of plywood would increase the surface area and distribute the weight really well. I went with a 10in mattress. The pillows slip through on the sides so I used black gorilla tap to hold them in. My girl braids hair and stuff so I'm going to put her little azz to work and braid something more permanent out of 550 cord. If it was designed with bars on the side it would be perfect.
