I have the more famous "Divot Board" which utilizes the same concept for $139.99, a price which is unconscionable. I purchased this for less than half the price and like it better. It's bigger and more sturdy. The concept of being able to hit the golf ball first and take a divot second is the Cardinal Rule in golf; nothing else really matters until you have mastered this. And this product allows you to do it indoors without a ball. Very impressed with the quality and durability of this mat! You can’t beat the price! The bottom is heavy duty rubber that can still be rolled up and put in your bag. When first opened, I left it out in the sun to flatten it out. Also has the four metal stakes, not cheap plastic ones, to secure in the lawn. The sequins type of material is actually very durable. I'm happy to say this is the one of the best golf training tools I've ever used, and at a great price! Speaking of price, this was lower then most so I was a little skeptical but decided to give it a try, I'm glad I did. I'm a long time golfer and over the last couple years have unfortunately developed a couple bad habits, one being an outside to inside swing. This mat clearly showed my problem, along with the result of adjusting my swing to correct. With all the expensive technology out there, this is such an affordable and elegant solution. I was a bit concerned about durability, but we've hit over a thousand balls off this mat and it's no worse for the wear! I use it in my garage into a net, so I did need to secure it to the concrete floor with some two-way tape because it is not heavy, but that's preferable to me. I got the thick pad, and it gives great feedback on my not-so-great swing, telling me where my club contacted the ground, what swing path it took, and what angle the clubhead was at when contacting the ball. It can be used with or without a ball, and the markings on the mat help you see everything better. It also protects my grass from the divots I would take if hitting off the ground.
