very thick and warm! the fur around the hood is too much and you cant see when you put the hood on but it unzips to detach which is nice. there is no curve appeal to the coat and is straight down cut which is not flattering but it is certainly warm which will do nicely for this winter

I went with a 3x in size because I haven't had good luck with sizing on coats on Amazon. They usually run small and I wanted room to wear bulky winter clothing under it. My measurements are smaller than the 3x measurements on the size chart. I honestly don't have much more room in the bust area even though my bust is 48 inches. The rest is pretty big through the waist and hips. My waist is 39 inches and my hips are 50 inches. My arms are on the short side but the wrists have nice cuffs that keep the sleeves from sliding over my hands. The hood isn't too big and is detachable. The inside of the coat is soft. I'm not wild about the flared bottom. Its 86 degrees here right now but it says it's for cold weather. I know these days winter coats aren't big bulky things like they were when I was a kid so I'll update if it doesn't keep me warm and dry this winter.

I just received this jacket and there are some things that I would love to say about it, but first, the sizing details for you: I am 5’5” 30 weeks pregnant with my 4th baby, Approx 175 pounds and I ordered a L. My belly sticks out really far…typical (non maternity sized) clothes I am wearing, I am generally a L. Okay, let’s get into it! I have pictures you for you to reference for different things I describe! Hope it helps! This jacket has a fluffy minky-type fleece fabric inside around the trunk of the body. On the lower half it is a like shiny polyester. the zipper is a 2 way zipper, which could be fun if you wanted to have a different kind of look or if you need a little room when you sit. (See photo) This jacket goes well below my behind. I don’t really have a way to test this, but I’m not 100% sure, based on the fabric that this will be truly waterproof when you sit down, even though I goes below the booty. The hood is a perfect size. I have another jacket from Amazon that I love, Molomex (I think it’s called), but the hood is so deep and flops forward so far that I absolutely cannot see side to side. This jacket is not like that. The hood is much more appropriately sized, which is nice! I also bought my mom a jacket off Amazon last year and the hood size was a problem for her too! Also, for those with not super long arms, the sleeves are great. The cuffs are snug enough where it doesn’t fall over your hands. I think that, technically, the sleeves on this jacket are long for me, but the cuffs are so well done that the sleeves don’t fall down. This will be nice, also, to help you not get snow down your sleeves. Burr. The fur on the hood does come off, so if you don’t like the fur, no big deal, you can remove it. Additionally, the hood also does come off. My belly sticks out pretty far, but I am able to barely close the zipper. The pockets are not lined with anything warm, so you would probably need gloves if you went out for a walk in the winter, but the pockets do have zippers and are perfect iPhone size. As far as warmth goes, it is summer where I live and I am massively pregnant with a built in heater, so I am not sure it will be warm enough in a very cold, windy and snowy winter, but it might. As I am sitting here, I have it on my legs and they are warming up quite nicely. Will it be enough for frigid conditions, I don’t know, but suspect it may be similar to one of the 32 below jackets you could get at Costco, but I’m not sure. Thin, lightweight and packable! The color is very accurate and beautiful.
