I do think this helped keep my kid a bit warmer at our local pool, but he still spends the whole time asking me when we can go in the hot tub. It’s slightly hard for my 4yo to get off and on on his own, particularly when wet.

I bought my boys the same size. My 4 year old is petite and the size 2 fit him perfectly. He's 34lbs. It keeps him very warm in the chilly pool for swim lessons. This also works well for my 22month old. He's 22lbs, also petite but it still keeps him warm. It's too long for him but I just fold it in the middle. Arms and legs are tight enough.

Just received the suit and had my 4 year old try it on. It fits perfectly. She’s slim and her waist is about 20-21 inches. She wears 3T clothing still. I’m optimistic this will help keep her warm for swim lessons. Her instructor says she’s chattering every time despite the pool being set to 85 degrees. She has hardly any body fat so no wonder! Also good for the ocean I’d imagine for days where the water isn’t as warm or when we visit Northern California beaches. Pleased and will update if anything goes awry or disappoints.

This spring suit is exactly what we needed for swim class. My daughter would turn blue and shiver during her swim classes because she was only two and not really swimming enough yet to raise her body temperature. She would only last 10 minutes before crying to get out. We added this spring suit and she was happy and lasted the entire 30 minute lesson, not wanting to leave the pool. It seemed like it would be too loose to provide benefit, but her ability to stay in that cold pool was all the evidence I needed. I bought a second one now that she finally outgrew the first one.
