    • Not sure how long this will last. Rangefinder won't fit in the case with strap on.

I have a rangefinder with the magnet built in. Thought I would try this strap on my old rangefinder that had no magnet. I was able to secure it tightly around the rangefinder and over the activation button. The magnet was strong and held tight. Problem is the magnet is in a vinyl sleeve. Pretty sure it will cut through the vinyl and will be useless in not very long. The other issue is with this on the rangefinder it will no longer fit in the case. Before I tried this strap I had a 1.26”x1/8” Neodymium Magnet stuck to the side of the rangefinder. I think that is a cheaper and better solution than going with a strap if your rangefinder does not have a magnet built in. ... show more

    • Strong magnet and easy access to buttons

I switched from a magnetic nylon strap to this and it is such a big improvement. This strap is slim with a strong magnet that easily stays on the golf cart steering column out on the course and the cutout for the buttons is a significant feature that cannot be overlooked. This does still add some bulk to the rangefinder as one side is entirely lined with the loop fabric for the velcro. This makes the strap very adjustable but not very necessary since most rangefinders are roughly similar in size. ... show more

This rangefinder strap has 2 very nice options - a very strong magnet and a cut out in the strap in order to access the top button of a rangefinder. It alleviates having to position the strap toward the front or rear to access the button. However, it would not fit well for rangefinders having 2 buttons on the top or a slope button on the side.
