I'm actually shocked at the quality of this bed for the price. It's definitely worth the money. It's not super soft, not super firm (I prefer softer beds but for the price, I can't complain. I just added a really nice, thick topper). I can't speak to the longevity of it yet since I only got it a few days ago but I will say it exceeded our expectations. I didn't notice any smell, good or bad.

I have never ordered a mattress online, in a box/bag, before so I was very hesitant especially since they all have mixed reviews. We went to a local furniture store to test which kind of mattress my son liked - and they had a Sealy hybrid mattress for $999 that felt amazing! So I looked online for a similar one and decided with this one. It’s heavy, but I was able to get it out of the box & rolled it onto the platform bed and cut the outer layer first so it laid flat and then I cut the end of the bag first then the top so it didn’t pop up and hit me or scare me. It instantly expanded into 10inches but they say to give it at least 24hrs - well an hour later it’s up to 11 inches and fits the full size bed perfect, so even if it doesn’t get to 12” I’d still be happy with it for this price! I just laid flat on top of the mattress and it feels like the expensive Sealy mattress. Super impressed with the quality and feel - it does feel firm with a little bit of cushion/fluff on the top for comfort- it feels like a perfect medium firmness. I will update my review as time passes if it doesn’t hold up but everything is great so far so I would recommend. The edges do sink down when you try to sit on the edge though - but that doesn’t bother me since it’s being used for a kids room.

First off, while the title says Memory Foam Mattress/Hybrid Mattress, this is really just a standard spring mattress with a built in memory foam topper. When you lay down on it, it feels like a spring mattress (kind of bouncy)...it doesn't have that same kind of dense feel that you get when you lay down on a memory foam mattress. Now...I was expecting that so I wasn't disappointed but I think it's important to know that up front. It arrived at our house vacuum packed and rolled up in a box. Once we'd unrolled it and cut the plastic, it expanded pretty quickly. We let it sit for a couple hours to make sure the whole thing was fully back to normal before putting it in place. The top of the mattress has kind of a stitched star pattern which is fairly deep...like it goes all the way through the foam layer. The fabric on the top is very soft...almost (but not quite) like a microfiber. It's a perfectly nice mattress. Comfortable as long as you remember that it's a spring mattress. The one downside is that the memory foam layer is fairly thin...maybe an inch? That made me a little nervous as I'm sure that will cause this mattress to have a shorter life span that I might hope for. Memory foam tends to kind of degrade over time and develop squished spots. And because that top layer is built in, this is not the kind of mattress that can be flipped over. For the price, this is a great buy and I don't think I'd hesitate to order again if I needed another mattress.

I love this mattress! I had to strongly insist that a Customs Officer did NOT open it, and upon hearing our heated discussion his supervisor came forward to overruled him! Thank goodness! When I got home to carefully unwrap, it exploded out of it plastic confines, no way would it have fit into my car if it was opened by that Customs Officer! It is huge and not easy to move by one person! It was ready to sleep on almost immediately, nevertheless I left it for a couple of days, but it didn't expand much more. There was no smell. It is extremely comfortable. No matter where I lay it envelopes me. It offers excellent support, and I no longer awake with back, neck or any other pain. It is great value for money.

This was perfect for a budget-friendly room makeover. It fits seamlessly with the full-size bed I bought on Amazon. I'm still waiting for it to air out to reach its full height. So far, I can tell you this is a firm mattress. If it were meant for me, that would be an issue, but since it's for my mother-in-law with back problems, it's ideal.

I have ordered a few "mattresses in a box" 12" - 14" and most are firm or "too firm," but this 10-inch mattress is a comfortable medium firmness with individually wrapped coil springs - IT IS AWESOME! Purchased for my 89 yo mother who has always complained that these mattresses are too hard sleep comfortably on, or too high to get in and out of bed safely.

I was skeptical about purchasing a bed in a box. I didnt expect it would be very thick or comfortable. I was so wrong!!! The bed did come in a box that was not that big. The box was not that heavy and my daughter and I carried it up the stairs to the bedroom. We purchased a frame separately and once it was set up we pulled the mattress out of the bed and placed it on the frame. We unrolled it like the instructions showed and let it setup for awhile. Once the bed was set I couldn't believe how thick it got and the comfort level is high.

I bought this item over others as the price was affordable on a tight budget, offered the sizes needed, came in an easy-to-transport box, and met all the requirements in material that I was looking for. The item came on time and was easy for the delivery person to handle alone. My 12-year-old could easily bring the package in from out the front door. The two of us carried the package up a flight of stairs with ease as well. Once in his room, a simple cut of the bag with the included cutter was a cinch. Quick to rebound to original size. It's a very nice soft top and very comfortable to lay on. My 12,5 yr old son is happy with the bed and so is this momma(price-wise, comfort, durability) If you need a comfortable, simple, easy-to-maneuver mattress with fast delivery, and on a tight budget like myself, then I recommend this mattress.
