These are basic, well-built grass aerators. First they fit most shoe sizes after adjustments. I wear a size7 and it required some effort to adjust the straps but once they were adjusted the aerators fit well. I had more luck taking off my shoes, fitting them to the aerators, and then putting them back on. Once I learned how to walk in them, it was a breeze, but do walk only on the grass, not on a hard surface. Comparing them to other types of aerators, they are better than the step-on aerators that make the project tedious, they take less time than a cleating mower, and cost far less than rented equipment. The soles are a durable plastic, the straps snugly fit the soles once adjusted, and I don't see any potential defects in the way they were built. The Velcro is thick, and the cleats are thick and sturdy. I was only able to use these for a short time (its winter here) but will use them extensively in the spring and summer. Good overall quality and design.

I have a small yard so I don't like paying a lawn company to come aerate it. In the past, I've used a heavy thing with two tines on the bottom that is supposed to aerate and remove plugs at the same time. But, it immediately clogs with dirt, so it doesn't unplug, only aerates. These look like they'll make the job much simpler. I wear a size 9 in shoes (men's) and you can see that these "just" fit. The instructions say if you have bigger feet to just attach them to any sized flat-soled shoe. The tines are nice and long and can be removed for sharpening or (I assume) replacing. They do not provide any replacements however, but as long as you don't walk with the on concrete, these should last.

These work well for what they are. They will not replace an aerator machine that pulls plugs out of your yard, but this is much more usable and fun. While it's winter where I am and I can't go out and plant any new grass at the moment, I strapped these to my shoes and tried them out on a warmer day. They work great. It's basically having giant nails strapped to the bottom of your feet. You can't walk normally, it's really an up and down motion, but that's ok. I had no issues making holes in my yard, I'm excited to do this more strategically and plant some grass seed in a few months. I wear a 9.5 shoe, these fit fine and are flexible enough to fit a wide variety of shoe sizes. The included shovel is a nice touch to clean out clumps of dirt or grass that get stuck (and they do). In general, these are great for what they are, just know they aren't going to replace a machine aerator. Still, they are worth it in my opinion.

To be honest I was taken aback at how large this was! However I was won over by the quality of the materials. The spikes are sturdy and won’t break. The plastic foot holder is large but solid. The straps are more than sufficient in wrapping around any shoe. However highly recommend using sneakers at the least but better yet either hiking boots or work boots. Also another pro tip put this on while sitting on the lawn you want to aerate! Also another pro tip don’t expect to run as if it were nothing. Consider this to be like snow shoes. Slow and steady. In fact moving in an exaggerated way is probably the best approach. With that in mind this is still a winner in my book!

I wanted these for both aerating the lawn and for an upcoming epoxy garage floor job I have coming up. The hook and loop (Velcro) straps are made well and feel heavy duty. The spikes are thick and sharp. I weigh around 200lbs and the spikes easily pierced the ground. I liked that this also came with a tiny spaded shovel to scrap off and clumps of dirt. I also believe these can serve dual purpose and help in installing an epoxy floor in my garage later on this year. I would recommend!.

These things are serious! They have 3 elastic straps per foot and you wear them over your regular shoes they fit my size 12 feet, but wouldn’t go much bigger. Just make 100% sure you take them off when returning to the sidewalk from your lawn or you’ll slide and possibly hurt yourself or bend the spikes. The spikes on the bottom resemble nails with a screw in nut holding them on the bottom. I’d say they are about 2 inches each. So these won’t replace an aeration machine that goes 3-4 inches down and pulls out plugs, but you won’t have to pay someone to do the job for you either. I recommend these spikes if you want a light aeration on your lawn.

There's not a lot to say about these. They are a straight forward garden tool that does exactly what it says it will do. The do actually aerate your yard, but these a definitely best if you have a small yard. These are best if you have a small yard or specific areas where the soil gets compacted. I have a couple of high traffic areas where I have always needed to aerate to give the grass a chance to root properly. In the past I used a set of home made aerator shoes but these look like they will work better than what I was using. The trick with any of these shoes is to step in straight down rather than at an angle. You can't get in a rush either, you'll end up on your face if you make any fast moves. All in all these are a time saving tool that is best suited for small yards.
