I absolutely loved using this product on my 10 year Old daughter's hair. I used it to do medium size box braids. Her hair looked so sleek and shiny it was absolutely beautiful. But unfortunately the product started irritating her scalp and caused her scalp to flake and get sores. I thought it might just be something she is sensitive too but I tried it on my hair as well and had the same reaction. I have tried all of the trendy edge controls. I have 4C hair. A little to a nice finger scoop goes a long way. The brush that it comes with is nice and soft and I actually used the comb size. After a week, a little residue only because I kept layering each day. It lays perfectly and I don’t have to keep going over and over to get to lay down. I’m in SC where it’s hot and it does pretty good. Smells nice and I’d compare it to edge booster because of the smell and the hold is amazing. ... show more

Smell is delightful. Before buying this I didn’t use edge control so I don’t know anything else to compare it with. I have a mixture of type 3 hair if that’s helpful. I put the small mini jar with me while traveling. The large jar is a decent size!
