By far the best video game I've ever played!!! To be fair, the first time I tried playing this game was after it first came out and I wasn't a fan. Why? If you played and loved all of the original GOW games then you know why. Basically, everything was different, the game play, the story, the gods, the setting, and even Kratos' iconic weapons, the Blades of Chaos!" I was heart broken and barely gave the game a chance. Eventually i just stopped playing out of frustration. Fast forward to a month ago. I got covid and needed to kill time while in quarantine. Despite my lack of interest in the game I had heard nothing but amazing reviews about it so I decided to give it another try, this time with a completely open mind. Within no time I was hooked on the story. The graphics are second to none, and I simply changed the controls to match the old format. Once I did that I was able to truly enjoy the game play. Everything about the game was mind blowing but the best part was the incredible story. GOW never dropped the ball once when it was all about Greek mythology and they made sure to do all there homework on the Norse gods. Every detail is perfect and the characters have so much depth and personality. It's the kind of game that makes your eyes tear up when it's finally over and makes you desperate for the next game to come out! If you like rpg's, adventure, amazing graphics with lots of intense action, great fighting game play, good puzzles, and an amazing story, I promise you'll love this game. I do recommend either playing the originals first so you know exactly what's going on and so it'll mean more to you when certain things happen. Or at least learn about the GOW story leading up to this game. Also i played the game every day for 4 straight days before getting to the end. So it'll definitely take you a while. I still have so much more to still do though believe it or not. I can not wait for the next game to come out!! And that's an understatement!

The new era of God of War starts off. With a bang, and was for the most part a fantastic game. However it was held back by repetitive boss fights and dudes that offer much for the main story. Plus a few other issues here and there. Otherwise a really good game.

Horizon Zero Dawn is a strikingly beautiful, well thought out, open world game that allows beginner gamers a feeling of accomplishment throughout the game even into the game+ segment, as well as giving hard core gamers the challenge they crave at its toughest levels. I love playing similar disc games like Horizon Zero Dawn that shares its platform of well thought out, non-frustrating PS4 games for all levels of players. The same is ALMOST TRUE for beginner gamers playing God Of War 4 who have played Horizon and even the Infamous Second Son, another game of the same elite caliber of well thought out games. I'm still playing God Of War, which I absolutely enjoy, except for the timed puzzles which irritatingly frustrates the heck out of me, even at its easiest play level. I wish game developers didn't put timed puzzles in the easiest play level. Some of us have slower equipment which makes it nearly impossible to finish any timed puzzles and have that feeling of accomplishment. However, I still enjoy playing this particular game enough to give it 5 stars, for now, and am looking forward to playing its 2021 successor on a PS5. Also, 5 stars to the company I bought it from - received within days as promised and in excellent condition. Thanks so much!
