My old pc was on its last legs and I needed a powerful small computer at a great price. This little gem fills all the boxes. I purchased this mini pc 3 days ago and let me tell you it has been a game changer for me. Pros: Everything you need to get up and running is included in the box. Speed is excellent Easy to install It delivered exactly what it advertised. Streaming, Hulu, Paramount +, Netflix, Amazon Prime Videos, You Tube & You Tube TV It recognized my Epson Printer, Bluetooth mouse, and keyboard right away. I have uploaded and downloaded movies with great speed. No bloatware, no additional apps that you do not need or want. I play one single game "Star Trek Timeline" and it plays beautifully. The graphics are amazing. I was able to hook up 2 monitors (Brand Element 19" TV/PC monitors) using the HDMI. Wow! The plus here is I did not need to purchase additional speakers since the GMKteck K2 recognized the built-in speakers and the sound is loud and clear. It also automatically recognizes when I use my wire earphones and the sound never deteriorates. You never hear the fan, even when it needs it, the sound is very low and quiet. I am totally amazed and very happy with this purchase. Cons: Windows 11 Pro has its learning curve. (I was using Windows 10 Pro), so I am still learning the new system. This PC clocks at 3.2 GHz and it only goes to 4.75 GHz when needed.

The media could not be loaded. I was highly skeptical at the beginning on how those parts could be designed and built in such a compact space. I am glad that I made the right decision. The mini PC arrived at my doorstep fairly quickly. The actual PC was unbelievably small, no bigger than my Wi-Fi 6 mesh router. Along with the PC came the power adapter and one HDMI cable. The PC had several USB ports, two HDMI ports, and one type-C port. It also had a LAN port for the wired connection. I connected the PC with my 1080P projector with the HDMI right away and turned the PC on. The Windows 11 setup was quite standard. It took me less than 5 min to see Windows 11 desktop. Then I installed Tomb Raider GOTY edition from Epic to the PC. The overall quality of the images in the game was amazing. The graphic card is AMD Radeon 680M integrated GPU, which is good enough for my daily gaming needs. I played Tomb Raider for a little more than 30 min, and I did not feel any lagging when playing. The mini PC has great cooling design that I have never experienced any overheating problem. Overall this is a great power device for the gamers. I am planning to use it to host various emulators and ROMs for the classic games.

I’m pretty picky about technology, but also very budget-minded. Marquee-branded, top-of the line, ultraperformance sounds great but is often a poor value proposition. Like-minded people looking for the “sweet spot” of mini-pc computing should seriously consider GMKtec and the Nucbox K5 in particular. In a word, the K5’s performance is snappy. Its processor / graphics technology is near state-of-the art yet established just long enough to be readily available / affordable. DDR5 memory and nvme GEN4 drive capability are must-haves on my list – they contribute significantly to the K5’s responsiveness. A generous array of high-speed I/O ports ensure this snappiness is extended to attached devices. Cooling provisions appear to be comprehensive, though sound from both fans is noticeable. Honestly, the K5 is a pretty well-balanced, performance-oriented system with attention applied where it counts. While form follows function, the GEMtec is an esthetically proportioned if understated device that will blend in with competitive offerings. It does have an attractive bluish-grey appearance with a matt / frosted finish and solid feel – much preferred to universal black or garish silver. Thankfully, you don’t have to pry off rubber feet (like some other brands) to access internals. Nits are minor: A second USB4 (perhaps Thunderbolt) port and aluminum chassis would be nice (though I understand metal frames can interfere with internal WiFi antennas). Regardless, value of the K5 package is hard to beat as it stands. Here’s the intangible – and best – part of my experience with GEMtek as a company. My K5 is a replacement for the K2 model I originally purchased last year. Zero complaints with the K2, yet the K5 has improved in several meaningful ways (without incurring a corresponding price increase). There’s no such thing as 100 percent failure-free manufacturing, and it could be my K2 was simply worked to death by its cruel master. Regardless, GMKtec responded to the service request within ONE hour of receiving my email. It took only a week to receive a factory replacement (K5) after the original K2 was returned Return postage was my only expense. In summary, the K5 has all the performance and features most of us would benefit from, at a less-than expected price. All with stellar real-world customer service.

Bought this unit to make it a Batocera living room mini pc setup. It’s blown me away on how powerful it is and easy to use, it’s done everything I wanted it to be capable of and more. The steam games it’s also been able to run have been pretty surprising too! No noise really at all when running, small in scale so not a lot of space it takes up, and easy setup as well. Came with some cosmetic stuff too, a red snap-on face plate that you can change the original out for and some stickers. No problems so far, performs great. About 1 tb of memory in the internal, so might want to look into getting an external hard drive or ssd. Can’t recommend enough

I don't do any hardcore gaming, I play things like magic arena, fallout 4, and civ5 and for those game it works great. It's fairly snappy and works great with all basic computing tasks. Plays high def 4k video without a problem. It is however loud when the fan kicks in. I would recommend it, just don't keep it next to you.

Nice compact computer with easy set up. I use mostly it for office applications. I tried playing some high quality graphic games on there but found I had to lower the graphic options on the game. I consider this a fast computer for what I use it for. I'm amazed how small it is. I would buy again to replace another desktop for an office.
