Fast hardware, but apparently non-existant warranty or customer service if you have a problem
Really like the hardware. This is by far the fastest computer I've ever owned. At the time, I felt the price was reasonable, given the system specs. However, after only 10 months, the CPU fan gives off a horrible howl and keeps starting and stopping. I tried to contact GMKtec for warranty service, but no web browser will let me access any of multiple GMKtec sites or email addresses. They either indicate that it's a probable scam site, it doesn't have the correct credentials, or it's just plain non-existent. In addition, multiple websites are filled with complaints of non-existent warranty service and/or non-responsive customer service in general. Given the possible liability of continuing to attempt to contact GMKtec, as much as I like this computer, I have to give it a 1 star rating in hopes of saving someone else a lot of grief.

Don't buy this is you expect it to last.
I purchased this PC for my son on June 24th, 2026, and initially, it functioned as expected. However, on August 6th, 2026, just five weeks later, the $600 PC became completely nonfunctional. The device emitted an unusual noise, produced a burnt odor, buzzed for approximately 30 seconds, then powered off and became entirely unresponsive. Unfortunately, this occurred just beyond Amazon's 30-day return window. As a result, I must repackage the unit, deliver it to a UPS store, and ship it to Amazon's return center, after which I will wait five to seven days for a refund. Amazon declined to provide a replacement, stating, "They have issues with the company GMKtek replacing defective units." Given this experience, I do not wish to receive another GMKtek computer and will instead select a different brand and model.

Absolute Garbage
Bought this and it was delivered on 6/29/25. As of today, 9/6/25, it has been shutting down randomly for over two weeks right in the middle of important work. It does this every single day, without fail. It was really great for about 6 weeks, no problems, but now it is a hell I have to live through every day just to do my job. Would NEVER buy this again. Would NOT recommend. Trash.

Great Machine, Cannot Join a Work or School Account
This machine has great specs and seems to run well. However, the build of windows they use forces you to set up a local account at initial install instead of the typical installation which lets you choose personal account or work and school account. Once the local account is created, you are permanently blocked from creating a work user. You will never be able to log in using a work account. You can add the work account to the local account, but that is less secure and does not use your organizations settings. I have set up many Win 11 Boxes in our company and have never seen a windows built that is locked to local account creation at the initial login. I spend about 5 hours with Microsoft, and they had never seen this either and could not repair it. They recommended I return the machine and purchase from a different vendor, which I am going to do.

Came with a really bad SSD.

Update: Benchmarked the AirDisk SSD, and it actually scored really well. I've never heard of the brand, though, and it's weird that it's at 98% health right of the box. We'll see how it holds up. Update 2: Lol. It dropped another percent already on the same day. This thing won't even last until the end of the year. I'll need to buy a real SSD and replace it.

Crashes and Reboots constantly
It keeps crashing and rebooting! I have a 7 year old PC with Windows 11. It was Windows 10, but, upgraded. It has an NVidea GPU. But, the games I played were lagged, and sometimes the video was very substandard. So, I wanted to upgrade. I plugged in this new PC, updated the Windows 11 with the latest patches. I installed Firefox, my preferred browser and Thunderbird email client. All good. I updated the AMD driver and installed Steam, where I play Baulders Gate among other games. That's where the problems began. The game definitely looked better, but, it was even more laggy. Even worse, the PC crashed and had to be turned off to reboot. CTRL-ALT-DEL didn't work. Wifi seems good, The number of ports and the included HDMI cable was a nice touch. But, I can't recommend a PC that can't run a game I've been playing for 2 years on a 7 year old machine. Hopefully your mileage will be better, but, this lemon is getting returned tomorrow.

This mini pc was great until it abruptly stopped working after 3 months. Now it’s completely dead. I researched to try and learn if it was fixable, but the online consensus was that it’s not. This was a LOT of $$$ down the drain. I will never buy this company’s products again.

Overheats and Freezes a lot
Freezes A LOT. Seems like the design isn't that great to keep it cool so when it goes in sleep mode for a few hours it'll freeze when trying to wake up and I have to force shutoff and restart. Also freezes a lot when trying to play Minecraft, which it should handle just fine and shows based off of the cpu, ram and GPU usage that it shouldn't be running too hard, but it struggles and the fan gets very loud when trying to keep it cool. Not very impressed by this thing. I would avoid and get something better, probably a better brand.
