The Oculink and Dual USB4 features make this a desktop killer!
Color: Space Grey
I was incredibly skeptical when I first saw the specs for this GMKtec Mini PC. Usually, "Mini PCs" are cramped with slow SATA SSDs and limited connectivity. This unit is total overkill in the best way possible! The Performance is Insane: Starting with the AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U processor paired with a massive 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a speedy 1TB PCIe SSD, this machine feels like it costs triple what I paid. Multitasking is effortless—I have dozens of browser tabs open, Docker containers running for my NAS, and video editing software all without any lag. The "PRO" chipset is quiet, efficient, and runs cool even under load. The Connectivity (The Real Hero): This is where this unit blows the competition away. Most mini PCs rely on dongles, but this has everything you need right out of the box: Oculink Port: This is a game-changer Literally 🤣. It allows you to plug in an external GPU (eGPU) seamlessly, giving you desktop-class graphics power without the bulky Thunderbolt 4 eGPU enclosures that take up too much desk space. Dual USB4 Ports: Having two of these high-speed ports is rare on a small PC. I use one for my primary docking station and the other for direct connection to an external monitor (via DP Alt Mode) or a storage dock. I226V Dual NIC LAN: If you are into networking, this is heaven. Being able to have two 2.5G Ethernet ports built-in means I can dedicate one port to my internet router and the other to a server connection without using USB Wi-Fi adapters that always disconnect. Build Quality: The chassis looks premium (the matte finish in the photos is accurate), and the heat dissipation seems very effective given how much power this chip is packing into such a tiny footprint. It doesn't take up any real desk space, but it handles workloads that usually require a full-sized ATX tower. If you want a Mini PC that can actually do serious gaming (with an eGPU), act as a home server, or serve as a high-end workstation, this is the one to buy. Highly recommended! ... show more

Low cost, low wattage mini-PC
Mini-PCs these days have gotten pretty incredible. For $150 (clip the coupon!) this little PC can do quite a bit. I've spent the last two weeks playing around with this thing; I needed a spare system for OS build testing. When it comes to testing Linux Distros with a GUI, I prefer not to be running them on a VM so being able to get some lightweight hardware cheap for testing has been a boon. Don't let the price point fool you though; this system will be able to handle day to day workloads and more just fine. Just don't expect triple AAA gaming, AI workloads, or heavy video editing workloads (If you are doing those kinds of workloads, you probably already know to look elsewhere). All models available have an Intel Alderlake N100 CPU, and the model I purchased has 8GB of DDR4 RAM and 512GB SSD. 8GB of RAM will be fine for daily driving this system for most people, but getting the 16GB is good idea for anyone with the habit of keeping many applications open at once. The N100 CPU in this system does a really fine job, considering all 4 cores are efficiency cores on a 6 watt CPU (only 6 watts! Total system power under load is around 18 watts however). You could leave this system on 24/7 and barely affect your power consumption (lightweight server for example). I've attached a few photos to this review. One is showing that the included Windows 11 Pro install is malware free (if that is a concern to anyone), One is showing the size of the PC compared to an XboxOne controller for scale, one is showing the internals of the device, and two of them are showing off BazziteOS running on it (more on that later). One really cool thing about this mini-PC is that the top cover pops off for easy access to the internals for upgrades, replacement parts, whatever. I don't feel like there is much here that you would want to upgrade, but in case you need to replace hardware later it's a nice option. Speaking of which, if you want to upgrade the RAM, please note that the Intel N100 only supports Single Channel RAM, so if you upgrade you will be doing so with a single stick. I tested BazziteOS on this for fun (BazziteOS is essentially a Fedora reimagining of SteamOS/HoloISO). Bazzite runs pretty well on the desktop environment. If you launch gamescope however, don't expect great performance as this is an intel based system and gamescope performs far better on AMD systems. When launching games from gamescope, vulkan shaders take a very very long time to compile, but when they finish you can get some decent performance from older games. I was able to play Arcade Paradise at around 40FPS 1280x720. Not bad. Honestly, for the price of this system, pretty darn good. I can't add links to reviews, but if you want more data before purchasing, Jeff Geerling has a great video on YouTube comparing this same mini-PC to a Raspberry Pi 5. There are also multiple articles with gaming benchmarks for the Intel N100, with approximately the same specs for the rest of their systems. For basic computing, this thing is phenomenal. As a lightweight server, this is also really good. For retro gaming or lightweight PC gaming, it'll do well enough. For the price, you really can't go wrong. ... show more

Workable level of "snappiness" and easily upgradable
Color: Black
This computer has a tiny footprint that fit easily in the cable tray area of my stand-up desk. The first thing I did was upgrade the RAM with two SODIMM DDR4 memory sticks I had on hand. The second thing I did was add a second 2TB M2 SSD. It can easily drive two displays (I haven't tried three) through the same docking station we use on a work Dell laptop. The USB-C port on the docking station works on the G10 just as it does on the laptop for charging/power, driving displays, and using a mouse and keyboard. Upgrades were easily done and very predictable. It came with Windows 11 Pro. Software updates were a bit slow...that's where the lower speed and thread count show up the most. Once Windows updates and software downloads settled down some, the machine returned to better usability. It is not what I would call "snappy," but performance is definitely workable. I'm thinking about turning off some eye-candy features in Windows to improve perceived speed. Again...nothing here that isn't highly workable. Overall, a great deal if you need a small computer to plug in alongside a work computer, or need a lightweight day-to-day computer. ... show more

Easy to setup and use, more than enough power for office and home use
Color: Silver
Awesome mini PC for home and office use. I bought this mini (even smaller than average) PC in order to make what in essence would function as a laptop for my disabled elderly mother in law. I coupled it with an 18" touchscreen portable monitor and a keyboard with a track pad. It's small size allowed me to use the vesa mounts on the back of the monitor to take it a lightweight, contained PC. Setup took no time at all, as it was more of finding all her passwords and moving her information over to it that took the most time. 2x m.2 slots let me easily transfer her old drive into this computer, and the absolute ease of getting access to that area made upgrading the ram a process that took under a minute. It had no problems with streaming 4k 60fps video, and every normal office and casual process I had it do, it was quick and responsive. While it can handle some very lightweight gaming, I'd suggest using a service like Luna if you plan to game on it, or otherwise I'd suggest GMKtec's M7 and using an eGPU (my personal gaming rig). While I've had no issues with this computer, in the past when I needed assistance from GMKtec with an issue that wasn't even their fault (3rd supplier sold a faulty me an outdated and faulty K2 PC) GMKtec actually made sure I was taken care of, and with coordination from Amazon, was able to remedy the situation. The hardware is solid, compact and hassle free, and knowing the customer service is responsible and actually cares about their customers, I can say with certainty, I will continue to buy and recommend their mini PCs. ... show more

Cheap SSDs aren't cheap in the long run.
Color: Silver
In less than a year the SSD died. I probably could have got it warrantied, but I had to pay shipping both ways and be without the computer I bought for who knows how long. AND I really didn't want another crappy drive that would probably fail in short order also. So I bought a new one and got it back up in just a couple days. Hopefully the other components will last 😬 ... show more

Can run 3 monitors no problem, low footprint, quiet. Faster than the n100
Color: 16GB+256GB Silver
I have been a GMKtec customer for several years now. Had several of the mini PCs and whenever had an issue, they addressed it promptly, once replacing the mini pc with very little questions asked. This is my 4th GMKtec mini PC. I had the n95, n100, and i5 iterations. This G10 sits between the n100 and the i5. CPU and especially GPU better than the n100. I included a video of an online benchmark so that you may be able to run it on your own computer and compare the numbers so to know what to expect in terms of performance. Even under benchmark stress, the G10 remained very quiet. Overall, good space saving mini PC for basic office use and light gaming. ... show more

Happy to have it as a low$$ CCTV solution
Color: Space Grey
It's doing well running Ubuntu to record 4 1080 RTSP streams from 2.4G wifi & copy them to a discrete USB drive. The power button lighted the room so much I covered it with black tape. The LED's glow is still visible through the air vents when the room is dark. The fan is quiet.
