I’ve been really impressed with this mini PC so far. The GMKtec NucBox K13 Mini PC is fast, compact, and handles everyday tasks and multitasking without any issues. I'll admit I had doubts. Something this small — you can see it in the picture with my mouse on it— didn't seem like it could replace a real desktop. But within the first hour of using it, those doubts were gone. It starts up fast, everything responds immediately, and it just feels like a real computer. Because it is one. My day-to-day is pretty simple: browsing the internet, working with AI tools like Claude, video calls, writing documents, and streaming video. I usually have 15–20 browser tabs open at the same time, and this machine doesn't flinch. Not once have I sat there waiting for something to load or catch up. For AI users in particular: if you work with Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or any browser-based AI tool, the extra memory on this configuration is worth every penny. I can keep multiple AI conversations open, switch between them, and the machine keeps up without breaking a sweat. Setting it up was genuinely easy. This was one of the things that pleasantly surprised me. Windows 11 Pro came pre-installed and already activated. I powered it on, went through the normal Windows setup questions, and within about five minutes I was at the desktop. No product key hunting, no activation screens, no frustration. For those of us who just want to get to work, that matters. Several other things I appreciate. It boots up fast. It runs quietly. Small size frees up so much desk space. Windows 11 Pro pre-activated. It's not a gaming machine — I don't use it for that, so it's not a drawback for me. Under heavy workloads, the fan does spin up and get slightly audible, but it never becomes annoying. The bottom gets a bit warm under sustained use, so I'd leave some airflow underneath. These are minor things that don't affect everyday use at all. ... show more

I just bought three of these units and have them all connected to multiple screen displays. The build quality is excellent, especially for the price. You get a compact form factor, it runs very quietly, and the Intel chip delivers plenty of performance. One of the best things is the multiple screen support. I can run several monitors at once, and it works smoothly with no lag or flicker. It’s perfect for having games, videos, browsers, spreadsheets, and apps all open at the same time and visible. There are lots of ports, so you have a ton of options for how to connect everything. The system feels powerful, smooth, and simple to use. Overall, it’s a great product and fantastic value. The machine is very powerful — 32GB of DDR5 RAM is a perfect sweet spot for multitasking, and the 2TB NVMe SSD provides plenty of fast storage for all my files and apps. Overall a solid mini PC, 96GB of ram for this price is a steal these days. Performance is great, decent cooling keeps the CPU from throttling in multi core workloads. Only downside is that the official recovery image restores all the AI bloatware, so I would suggest extracting the drivers from the .WIM file of the recovery image, and doing a fresh install with microsoft's official iso. Also, sleep is broken, PC will go to sleep regardless of my windows settings. A few BIOS tweaks disables sleep functionality, which is fine for my use case since I'm running it 24/7, but definitely something to take into consideration for other potential buyers. ... show more

Outstanding computers. I do everything I have always done on my desktops with the normal size desktop. I have two of these for two different monitors and they handle it all - routine business, searching the web, movies, photo gallery, etc, etc. Their size is what makes them so attractive. They sit on top of my desk and take up about the same space as a mouse. It's hard to believe. No noise, and power consumption is not an issue. I've purchased a few other mini PCs from this brand before and I genuinely like their products. This one in particular I got on sale and have been very pleased with it. For something so small, it's got a lot of power and speed. The 2.5gbps network port has been very nice and useful for my testing 2.5gbps networking at home (so no need for an adapter). DDR5 RAM, solid CPU (no overheating), and 1TB NVMe SSD provide plenty of speed for nearly everything I need. This does have Intel iGPU, so don't expect any high end gaming on it, but almost anything else works like a champ. It has plenty of USB connectivity, which is important for something so small so you don't need any USB hubs. Can drive 3 displays with no issue. I have mine mounted on the underside of a monitor stand so it's accessible yet out of the way. Unless you need a graphics intensive machine, or something high-end and specific, this will work for everything from small, niche use-cases to general everyday computing to homelabbing (I haven't tested other OSes, but VMs run fine in Hyper-V and VirtualBox) ... show more

This mini PC is a powerful beast. I've had no issues with it whatsoever. It's been running Ubuntu Linux non-stop for 3 months. Very quiet and was able to run my data and network intensive applications with plenty of speed and memory left over.
