This easy-to-use formula removes chlorine, chloramine and heavy metals commonly found in tap water – add it to all tap water before adding to your aquarium to ensure your fish are safe. This formula’s immune boosters and slime protectant promote GloFish health. Use when setting up a new aquarium, conducting partial water changes, when replacing evaporative water or when adding new fish. GloFish Water Conditioner is safe and effective for all tropical fish. Shake GloFish Water Conditioner well before using. Add 1 teaspoon (5 mL, or half of a capful) per 10 gallons of water, making sure new water is the same temperature as your aquarium water before adding it to your tank. I bought this kit without knowing really anything about fish but I watched a bunch of YouTube videos on it. Most of the complaints on here are that the blue light isn't strong enough or the bubbler doesn't work. First, the bubbler. When I initially set it up it wasn't working and I was very frustrated, but then we noticed that the vents were actually closed. The wheels on the little black F shaped thing on the tubes need to be turned open, that immediately fixed the problem. It's confusing because it says nothing of that in the instructions. Second, blue light. Admittedly, it could be stronger, but really isn't necessary. I found that what made a HUGE difference was that I taped black construction paper to the back of the tank. It sucks that it doesn't come with the rest of the stuff that really makes it look nice, but I wound up buying all the plants, gravel, and little rock house thing at Walmart for $20 total. I also got the specific water conditioner from Amazon. Since you should really get a water conditioner just to make the tap water safe I figured I'd get the one formulated for Glofish. I do think that the fish are looking a little brighter now that I've put that in. Overall I think a few simple tweaks will really make this look the way you want it to. ... show more
