This easy-to-use formula removes chlorine, chloramine and heavy metals commonly found in tap water – add it to all tap water before adding to your aquarium to ensure your fish are safe. This formula’s immune boosters and slime protectant promote GloFish health. Use when setting up a new aquarium, conducting partial water changes, when replacing evaporative water or when adding new fish. GloFish Water Conditioner is safe and effective for all tropical fish. Shake GloFish Water Conditioner well before using. Add 1 teaspoon (5 mL, or half of a capful) per 10 gallons of water, making sure new water is the same temperature as your aquarium water before adding it to your tank. Product def works and helped me balance my tank for my Glofish. I do wish they made a bigger bottle as I am upgrading my tank for my fish. I will probably move to another product only for that reason. Other than that 2 thumbs up.

I bought this kit without knowing really anything about fish but I watched a bunch of YouTube videos on it. Most of the complaints on here are that the blue light isn't strong enough or the bubbler doesn't work. First, the bubbler. When I initially set it up it wasn't working and I was very frustrated, but then we noticed that the vents were actually closed. The wheels on the little black F shaped thing on the tubes need to be turned open, that immediately fixed the problem. It's confusing because it says nothing of that in the instructions. Second, blue light. Admittedly, it could be stronger, but really isn't necessary. I found that what made a HUGE difference was that I taped black construction paper to the back of the tank. It sucks that it doesn't come with the rest of the stuff that really makes it look nice, but I wound up buying all the plants, gravel, and little rock house thing at Walmart for $20 total. I also got the specific water conditioner from Amazon. Since you should really get a water conditioner just to make the tap water safe I figured I'd get the one formulated for Glofish. I do think that the fish are looking a little brighter now that I've put that in. Overall I think a few simple tweaks will really make this look the way you want it to. ... show more

The water conditioner works well and we've had no problems with the fish, but I did have problems with how this product was shipped. There is no 'seal' inside the bottom, and it's got a typical 'pop-up' lid. This would be fine if shipped in a small box, but it was shipped in a padded envelope and the squeezing it got along the way popped it open and it leaked half the contents over the inside of the envelope. Amazon was good and sent a replacement right away and had me send back the original container free of charge (I put it in a BOX!) but to my surprise the replacement bottle also came in an envelope and was squeezed enough for some fluid to leak out and crust up all over the bottle, but fortunately not enough to run all over the place like the first one. These need to shipped in boxes, not envelopes. ... show more
