so far easily the best music stand light we've used like: good flood light good battery life multi page coverage don't like: shines in eyes of conductor, and players on the opposing side of the orchestra, making it necessary to rotate the light up (the flexible arm is only so flexible) which detracts from the uniformity of the page illumination) - we're trying to glue a light shield/baffle onto the light, to keep the conductor and opposing players from bitching at me - we've got another light that has such a baffle built in, so the issue is well known/understood in the trade, but not necessarily respected clumsy for storage (to carry around) - but not sure it is possible to mitigate - it is a problem with all music stand lights that we've ever used the on off switch (although aesthetically very pleasing and nicely integrated) is exposed to easily being tripped while transporting in an equipment bag - in other words, the light may accidentally, and without warning turn on, in which case the battery doesn't survive until the next performance/rehearsal) overall: if we can find a way to protect the on/off switch, and solve the light baffle issue, it seems we may have, heads down, found a preferred music stand light we can, with enough trial and error/patience/sheet plastic/glue solve the light leakage issue don't see any way of replacing the on/off switch with a sliding switch - maybe we can concoct some kind of a snap on protective cover to protect the switch from accidental bumps - right now we put the thing in the accessory/travel bag, check the light for being off, and zip it up - then hope the switch doesn't get triggered by the other stuff rattling around in the travel bag . . . . . ... show more

    • Broader illumination makes it a stand out
My other light is the Mighty Brite which is a nice and bright light but uses only batteries which you always have to wonder how much life there is in them. And when the battieries start to go the MB dims noticeably. Was tired of having to change the bats out too often. So looked for the rechargeable type of unit and decided on this one based on my teacher's recommendation, even though he hadn't tried it himself. The main advantage to this is the width of the light head, it is about 3" wider than the Mighty Brite which gives you a big improvement if you have two pages of music on your stand that you need to see clearly. That is the main reason to go with this unit, the 3 choices of light warmth don't matter to me, I don't think I'll ever use anything but the standard setting. ... show more

    • Music stand? Its the best clip-on bed reading light!
This light replaced a 4 year old clip-on reading light that clipped to the top of the headboard. This one has a better clamp, stronger, but has pads to protect the wood finish. I love that it can continuously vary brightness from very dim to very bright. So thats from a dim 15 lumens up to a BRIGHT OUCH 150 lumens, for you tech-heads. Another cool feature is the changeable color tempuratures of the lamp. I can select warm amber up to cool silver-blue and many mixtures in between. I keep it plugged in so not sure about battery life. They say it has a big battery...... Only thing I don't love is the placement of the USB-C charging port. It's on the top of the clamp. It would be cool to have it at the bottom and thus the wires wouldn't be sticking up all ugly..But its trade-off I will gladly accept for a night of this quality. Highly recommended. ... show more

    • Quality lighting and worth every penny!
The Light is well made and and come with a brightness and color adjustment, the unit goes from bright white to a softer yellow. The adjustable support for the light is strong and does not sink over time as many other lights with this type of bendable arms do. The mounting clip is well made and holds its place when clipped to the sheet music stand. I have had this unit for two months and no issues… I am very pleased with the light and have no complaints…. appears to do exactly what it claims ... is nicely bright. The various colors (amber, blue) aren't as useful to me, but perhaps they would be to someone else. Will have to see how long the rechargeable battery lasts, but for now am very pleased with my purchase. :-)

    • Great portability and versatility
Just purchased my third Glucosent music stand light. Bought the first one for music stand and use the 2nd as a desk lamp. Now use the 3rd one as a portable reading lamp and to provide localized light wherever I want it. The base is solid and stable and the clamp opens wide, so it can be positioned essentially anywhere. The clip is very sturdy, I was worried about that. The 3 different light tones will cover all scenarios and being able to go from brighter to dim by holding the button press, is very convenient and a silent motion. The charge is holding well, I'm still on 1st charge after a week of use. The moveable neck is nice and strong and stays put. I'm very happy with this performance light. ... show more

I actually searched for a different brand, but lost where when laptop crashed. This item came up on a new search and appears to be very similar to "Brand-X". Features and $$ approx. the same. The only "feature" missing is a little velcro-tab carry-storage bag for it. I do not know battery life yet, concert in 4 days, another in Sept. I hope for the best. Fast delivery and "Surprise!" a 36 month warranty! I may even use it in the camping trailer, a terrific little light! ... show more
