I can’t believe this stand is not priced the higher end. It is very sturdy yet light for portability. Very easy to set up and breakdown if needed. Generous adjustments to accommodate the smallest to largest musician. Little details like the thingies to hold sheet music if you’re using it outside. So, I rarely remember to leave reviews and it's only the products that really stand out or I feel like I have something useful to say that I immediately go write one. This is one of those occasions, and probably not for the reason you'd think. A little backstory, I'm a typical white America nearly 40 year old bachelor. I recently got a rotation at work so I can work from home now (lucky me, I know). I was looking for something that would be fun, could provide a light to moderate workout if done right, and something I could pickup and put down in the little inbetween breaks doing work. So after some questionable logical jumps, I decided to learn the drums. Skipping forward, I bought a famous book on drum rudiments and needed a way to hold it while I played. Hence this purchase. Now to the point.... Being this thing is like.. What? $18? I didn't expect a whole lot, but I'm just a dude in his house that sucks at drums not a professional musician. So I didn't NEED much. Let me just say.. This thing could be a month long course in a Product Engineering class. It's made of the THINNEST wall tubes, the thumbscrews are absolutely no longer than they need to be, the music holder part is riveted thin sheet metal and two springs. But you know what? IT FREAKIN WORKS GREAT! It's not the most stable thing in the world in the sense of, if I was a concert musician I wouldn't trust my career on it. But for anyone short of that, It's plenty stable for daily use. The NICE thing is.. BECAUSE it's so thin, and small, AND it comes with a little travel bag. It all wraps up nice and tight into a little travel package. It even has a little attachment to make it a desktop music holder, though I haven't used that yet. All in all, be prepared when you open it to think "What the hell is this cheap piece of...", But believe me. Put it together first and try it and you'll change your tone to "Damn, Whoever their Engineers are need a raise." 5/5, Pleasantly surprised. Don't judge a book by it's cover. ... show more

Folds up very small, comes with a decent zippered case. Easy to set up. It's light - a little flimsy, it's just stamped metal, but works well enough for sheet music. I've used it to support a lightweight iPad or chromebook to view media or for a video call.

This Cahaya music stand is exactly what I needed and better than I expected. I am 5' 11". With the music stand's feet spread to the full 22.5", it extends up to the perfect height for me to practice my Irish tin whistle from a standing position. The lights are great! Each light has its own power button with three levels of brightness. The micro USB power cord is 8' long, so combined with my own 6' extension cord, I can reach any electrical outlet in my room. You do have to provide your own micro USB AC adapter, but most people have one or two extras laying around from spare phone chargers. As you can see in my photo, I have a 1" binder full of sheet music and this music stand holds it very stable. Overall, this is a great music stand for less than $20.00. So, if you're one of those people expecting a titanium armored music stand with a 2" diameter post that wouldn't fall over even if you jump kicked it, you should probably keep looking. But if you are someone who wants a good music stand that is stable, lightweight, and very functional, then this is definitely for you. Great job, Cahaya! ... show more
