It's nothing special just burn cream. I didnt noticed the amount on the box so there was a slight surprise of the amount of packs they stuffed into this tiny box, Haven't needed to use it yet but the each pack seems to have a decent amount of burn cream. i keep a hand full in a 10x8 first aid kit in my truck ... show more

These are handy! I like having these on hand for when someone touches a hot pan or an iron quickly by mistake. I do feel like they help, but we haven't put it on open cuts or wounds at all yet, and I don't know that I would. It might be fine, but I'm just paranoid that it would slow the healing time. I'm just super cautious and careful when it comes to wounds and medicine and all that. ... show more

    • Great box of burn cream packets for a medical kit.
I've been building a first-aid/medical kit to take with us when offroading and travelling the 'path less taken'. Needing some burn cream for those incidents where someone may get a little too close to a campfire, touch something they shouldn't have on their vehicle, OR simply for those days where you spend too much time in the sun... this box of cream packets fit the requirements I had that they were smaller packages, and could be easily carried. Being nearly flat, these packets can be placed easily stuffed into a duffel, the medical kit, or even in a pocket (just remember they're there ;). That all said, unfortunately we got to test out the functionality of the packets, last night, when a neighbor kid managed to burn himself on a jack-o-lantern. (Who still uses REAL flames on those things??) Anyway, it wasn't too serious, but it was enough to make use of 1 of the burn cream packets (his mother actually came over asking if we had any aloe gel or anything). While I'm sure a lot of the soothing effect had more to do with the fact that he had people tending to his slight burn (hot candle wax), the fact is that he seemed to feel well enough, afterwards, to run off at breakneck speed to play with the other kids, immediately afterward. (We gave his mom a couple extra packets, for later that night) If you're looking to keep these things someplace in a sort of home environment, be aware that the box has a flip down side, to dispense the packets easily.. AND, it does tend to sort of fall open on our box. Not sure if that's just due to the fact our box was beat up a bit, or what.. but it is something to be mindful of if you don't want dozens of these packets falling out :) That all said, these packets fit the bill of what I was looking for, to add to my gear. They seem to work well, are easy to dispense, and open. So, I definitely recommend them. ... show more
