Most products on Amazon ask you for a revue but this one did not and I think I know why. The product was received with a box within the Amazon box and the inside box had obvious damage. After opening I noticed that the chrome outer ring had a dent in it. I also noticed that it had been installed previously as the hot and neutral stranded wires were frayed from being twisted in a wire nut while the green ground wire was intact. I suspect that someone sent this back and they sold as new. The light is very bright and I elected to keep it as it is installed in a walk in closet where the damage is not very noticeable. The fixture installation was straight forward and fairly painless. The mounting holes are sized for 2 sizes of electric box spacing. Would have given 5* if not used. ... show more

I bought two of these lights to replace an old, ugly fixture in a very dark hallway and to replace an infrared heat lamp in my bathroom (the condo is from the 70s). I did not install them, but the handyman who did said that they were extremely easy to install. They look great and produce a LOT of light. The one in the bathroom is actually a little too bright to use except when I'm cleaning. The LEDs cannot be replaced; the lamp needs to be replaced once they burn out. HOWEVER, unless you have them on 24/7 they will last for decades. ... show more

These are stylish low-profile dimmable LED fixtures that looks modern, but not show-off. Made in China. Caulk the holes inside to keep bugs out of the light after installing. I bought 18 of these for a house remodel. Comments: "Looks like cruise ship portals", "UFO lights", "Landing Strip Lights", "Classic Deco Style with a Modern Presentation". These can be found in the Amazon Warehouse because many of them had covers stuck to the body that are hard to remove at first. Don't over-tighten after install. Also they don't travel well since the shipping gorillas tend to dent the edges, crack the cover, with mis-handling. ... show more

I ordered a bunch of different ceiling lights and this is the one that my wife and I agreed on looking the cleanest/nicest. It also compares favorably to the ones at the big box retailers in terms of both price and quality. A couple of things to note: - I ordered 4 lights and 2 were clearly used/returned from the wiring caps being removed and fingerprints on the chrome. I sent one back since it was dented slightly, but the other was fine to install. Definitely check yours before throwing the box away. - Instructions included are basic and the best piece of advice I can give is to figure out how to remove the white plastic cover early on. It is actually pretty hard to do on 3 of the 4 I received and like the idiot I can sometimes be, I spent too much time trying to install it with the cover on. - I would love to see the manufacturer make a glass cover version. The plastic is fine at 6 feet or farther, but you can definitely tell it is plastic up close. I would pay a premium for a glass version. Overall great find. ... show more

I needed the warm white ceiling light and could find only this one on Amazon. The one I got is within the specifications (power is ~29W, it does not work on DC supply as expects an AC or dimmer, and delivers ~2000lm). The shade is milk plastic and covers a budget Chinese-manufactured "light engine" with a linear regulator (which dissipates power as heat and cannot work well when the voltage is substantially lower or higher than 120V AC). However, it does not flicker as other similar lights are, and gives a sunny-like light good for home environment. While I expected more advanced power regulator, this one is acceptable quality for the price below $30. ... show more

I returned the first one I received because it had two large dents on the outside diameter. When I opened the one I received as a replacement it had one very significant dent on the outside diameter. Like the first one, this too had a lot of dirty fingerprints all over the back as if someone had already handled it. Maybe the person that packs them at the factory just doesn’t wash his or her hands...ever. Anyway, it’s very apparent that the manufacturer’s packaging isn’t adequate for this product. It comes with four small foam pieces that are supposed to be fitted on the fixture 90 degrees apart from each other. Unfortunately for the product, they don’t stay in place and the item is free to float about inside the box. Both manufacturer boxes have shown signs of having been dropped or hit, which doesn’t bode well for the product inside. Very disappointing. It looks great in the picture - very stylish. But when lit, you can’t see the black cover nor the gold because it’s so dark- not enough light comes out. The light is just not bright enough also because of the frosted glass. It was such a pain to install that once it was up we ended up keeping them and trying to find a clear replacement for the frosted glass problem. But it’s an odd 15.5” diameter and difficult to find a replacement for it without paying a fortune to have glass custom cut. ... show more
