We got this bed for a spare bedroom. It was pretty easy to assemble (I was able to do it by myself without any assistance). I'm generally fairly adept at assembly and did not have any trouble with this kit. That said, the instructions were not as straightforward as they could have been and I recall needing to look at the assembly and available pieces several times when attaching the back supports and headboard to each other. As for sturdiness, it's pretty solid, though it felt like there was a small amount of give in the frame, which was improved once an actual mattress was placed on it. I struggled getting the upholstered panel installed in the headboard, but the rest went fine. This is a very sturdy bed. We switched from a bed frame with the bowed wooden slats to one that is rock solid. I much prefer this.

Got this bed frame and it’s just perfect! The mattress does slide off as there’s no indent or like anything to hold it but it’s beautiful and love the touch of wood.
