I will freely admit that when it comes to DIY build it yourself, I am not the greatest. This cabinet arrived on time and packed very carefully. All of the pieces are numbered, and to make assembly easier, I put a big Post-it note on each piece to Make it easier to identify all of the pieces.… And there are quite a few. The assembly instructions were easy to follow and with a simple screwdriver I was able to put it together all by myself. I am very pleased with the finished product. While this is not a high end Piece of furniture, it serves my purpose. It sits outside in a sheltered area.

I’m decently pleased with this! I had it out of the box and assembled in 1hr 15 min. I had to drill some pilot holes that were lined up right, and the door hinges are off a tad. One piece of wood split - little, but I think it will be okay. It’s not super heavy duty, and probably not suitable for outside.

Initial shipping box was damaged and parts inside broken. I contacted customer service and they were friendly/helpful and sent a replacement right away. Assembly was okay… some pictures were hard to determine how to put smaller pieces together and there were no written directions/guidance. Do NOT use a drill to assemble; use a hand tool. The wood is very soft and even though I barely tightened screws many just “spun” so I’m not sure how sturdy the item is. There were several cosmetic flaws in the parts. Overall it will work but I was a bit disappointed in the quality.

Where do I begin? 1. If you are looking for a true OUTDOORS potting bench, THIS ISN’T IT. Contrary to the item illustrated it’s made of unfinished teak-colored wood. I suppose it might actually look pretty good with a coat of spar varnish, and then hold up to the weather. Even after doing that, which I did not bargain for, the doors have no seal to keep rain out. 2. That “adjustable” shelf is fixed in place with screws, not at all adjustable. And the assembly … 3. Assembly is very difficult for one person. The back of the cabinet consists of two panel fitted together with dowels, and VERY difficult to hold in place while the side panels are attached by screws. By all means make sure you have a cordless screwdriver to do the job or it’s impossible for one person. And finally… 4.The “metal” top shelf is wood wrapped in some sort of metallic looking contact paper-like material. I doubt this will hold up for long. 5. I brought up all these concerns in an email when I was considering a return. Despite the seller’s promise to respond “within 48 hours” I received nothing in that time. Still, it’s serviceable, and I suppose it will hold up outdoors if I can find a grill cover the right size to cover it when not in use. Final comment:BUYER BEWARE.

You will see the wood is cracked. They labeled the panels/wood you just have to find the number. They had a few pre drilled holes but mostly not. The wood is very soft so that isn’t an issue. See pictures for details. The doors are not level nor is one of the sides as you can see in the picture too. One door is warped so I have to kick it/ push hard with foot to make the magnet stick otherwise it just falls open. The paint reminds me of a chalk paint feeling. You may want to build with two people to make it easier to build.

Now my outdoor shoes, watering can & garden supplies are safe from our visiting raccoons. As long as I don't store any birdseed or other food in it, they will let it alone.
