    • Make Sure Your Goggles Fit Before Buying!!!

I guess this is the issue with purchasing things online VS going to the actual ski shop. I watched several youtube reviews for ski helmets before picking up this one. Sadly none of them mentioned that you essentially MUST wear the Giro style goggles with their helmets or you are out of luck with your other ones fitting. Helmet fits nicely, comfortable and snug, but neither my Scott or Oakley goggles will work with the helmet because the front lip presses down on top of them and compresses them onto my nose. Incredibly uncomfortable and now I have to make the decision of either not wearing the helmet or spending another $100-200 on a set of Giro goggles that will actually fit with the helmet. It seems like a well designed and sturdy helmet, but I'm giving 3/5 stars since it isn't clearly advertised that you will need a specific set of goggles to go with the helmet and that your current and probably somewhat expensive goggles you already bought won't fit. I see that they mention the Giro goggles with the ad, but nowhere is it specifically stated that other brands will not fit. Wish I knew that before I bought. Update 2/13/2023: I purchased the suggested Giro goggles that go with this helmet and sadly the fit is still not great. The Giro goggles are a bit slimmer and not as wide up top so they do fit a bit better, however the top of the helmet still smashes down on them and pushes them down rather uncomfortably on the bridge of your nose. I guess the original advice still stands, go try everything on in a shop before you commit to a purchase. Hopefully you have a ski shop close enough to you so you don't wind up wasting money on something that doesn't fit. ... show more

For starters this thing is super light and comfortable.... as most giro helmets are. It's not the lowest profile helmet but it's certainly not the highest either. I was between this and the Giro jackson but opted for this one for two reasons. One it was less expensive and two it has controllable venting. With Giro's seamless compatibility all Giro Goggles fit up nicely with with the helmet so you can't really go wrong there. All in all I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend this for a mid price range helmet. ... show more

Love this helmet, we have several for the whole family, and this is the best style. It's light, mips, and at an affordable price point. Lots of colors to choose from too. Got a L for my teenage son, fits well even with a balaclava underneath. Highly recommend this!

Received this helmet though I can't say for sure that it wasn't a customer return. The package was re-taped closed, slightly damaged and a sticker on the helmet appeared to be peeled off and re-applied. There were no defects in the product but were there a few small hairs (almost whisker sized)? IDK - I can't be sure. But, it would have been nice to know if, in fact, I was getting something that was returned. The item otherwise seemed new and since I purchased at a discount from list I will give it a try. The fit seems good though I haven't used it yet. My head measures about 61 cm and the helmet is rated for a max size of 62.5 cm and I have it set to max. ... show more
