My crazy big head approved this is a big Asian fit helmet. Good quality. Definitely better than $25 helmets. But it’s too expensive.

    • Lowest quality ski helmet I have seen.
Very cheap feeling. It was inexpensive, but I was surprised at how cheap it felt. I wonder if this is a legitimate Giro product or a counterfeit product made elsewhere. We own about 8 ski/snowboard helmets of various brands and this helmet is by far the lowest quality. I have used Giro bike helmets before and know their quality is typically higher in general. This seems to be a $25 dollar helmet selling for $45 or so in the color we selected. No click system to ratchet the strap in the rear of the helmet tighter and the hook for your goggles in the back is the flimsiest I have ever seen. Ear pads feel and look cheap. ... show more

    • Giro Ledge vs. Smith Holt
I bought both Giro Ledge and Smith Holt, and I chose the Ledge over Holt for the following reasons: **My head measured at 60 cm but I’m a slim guy, and the Medium size from both models fit me very well, the Large size is significantly too large for me. ** 1. Size: Ledge is overall slimmer than Holt, especially on the sides: the Holt is rounded on the sides while Ledge is almost a straight cut. Ledge is also smaller in height, and feels a bit lighter on head. 2. Quality: though cheaper than the Holt, the Ledge actually has better quality in details. When I pulled the ear pieces down in order to put on the helmet, one of the ear pieces on Holt became loose and can be easily pulled out just after a few try. Also, for the press-on strap on the inside for size adjustment, Ledge’s gives a positive and solid snap while Holt’s is harder to push in and out, no clear snap either. 3. Thinner ear piece. Ledge’s ear pieces are much thinner than Holt’s, making it easier to hear things and may feels cooler in warmer days. They are both comfortable though, just personal preference. 4. Goggle strap clip: The one on Holt is a larger unit with very solid construction, tighter than Ledge’s, but Ledge’s can hold the strap just fine and it’s easier to bend to pull the strap in and out. However, I do think the Holt has a more stylish design. The Ledge looks kinda plain. Fitting wise, they both work out great, although the Ledge has a tighter fit in my opinion. ... show more

Nice helmets for the price. Not very adjustable and runs slightly big I think. The helmets with the wheel adjust feature definitely give you a better adjust to fit. We kept these though!

I can't believe this helmet is this inexpensive. It looks great. Fits solid. Its super comfortable. I'm pretty experienced with helmets. I wear one at least 6 months out of the year for my ski job. I have access to a variety of helmets at discounted prices and I still paid full price for this one simply because this is a great option with really nice styling. I was skeptical of a non-Boa retention system but this one works really well and is more comfortable. The next time I hit a tree while playing football skiing I know I'll look good with this helmet. ... show more
