Very nice hose cart, moves easily and reels a 100 foot rubber garden hose easily as well. Putting it together was a little tedious as the wheels needed to be placed on the provided axels but it required three hands to depress the keeper button on the axel and there was little play as far as the axel length is concerned. A problem that arose was because of the short axel length, the keeper button did not release to secure the wheel well and on moving the cart, the wheel came off the axel. I remounted the wheel but it kept wanting to come off. My fix was to get a snap clip and feed it into the hole that held the keeper button (I removed the clip holding the keeper button), and then rotated the clip so that it was parallel to the wheel to keep the wheel secured to the axel. I recommend furnishing 4 snap clips to secure all 4 wheels rather than to depend on the keeper buttons.

*Revised review (again) I had difficulty putting the washer and cotter pin into the axle on the opposite side wheels. It definitely helps to lay the cart on its side and push down on the (solid) tire to compress it enough to get the washer and cotter pin into the hole. None of the videos show the assembler putting on the second wheel. My unit came with the hose guide slathered in white grease, which got all over everything making it slippery to assemble. Once assembled, the unit is solid and does what it's supposed to do. As a side note which has nothing to do with the hose reel design--many hoses now come with a spring near the female end of the hose. The hose will kink just past that spring when the hose is wound up on the reel. I ended up taking the spring off the hose to avoid this. 2nd revision. I've had this for about a month now. There are two-one hundred-foot 5/8 hoses on the reel so 200 feet total. I unwind what I need before turning the water on and shut the water off and drain the hose before I wind it up. This is the same practice used on my previous hose reel. If you look at the images, and this is an ongoing problem, the hose tends to loosen up on the reel, then gets jammed against the frame. Today, it unwound the section at the very beginning where the hose connects to the reel.I don';t even know how that could happen. I had to unwind all 200 feet of hose to get to the loop and it was not easy, since every revolution jammed the whole thing. Hose reels are not perfect. I had one for a long time and it had its flaws but nothing as maddening as this. I cannot unwind the hose by holding the end and walking away from the reel. At some point, it will bind up, every single time. It winds up great. It unwinds horribly. I can't recommend this at all.

Ok gotta say I was a bit skeptical about spending more money than I planned on but I'm so glad I did. First off it holds all of my outdoor water hose. Cart was easy to assemble with good instructions. Tires won't ever go flat. Easy to move around and the basket is nice for hose accessories. All that said rolling up the hose is awesome since it has a gear setup that rolls up the hose automatically!! All you need to do is crank the handle. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more for a much better product. This is a really nice product. You won't be disappointed.

I've now had this product for over one year. It is well constructed from quality materials and is very serviceable. It has I think unfairly earned many critical reviews. This may result from incomplete instruction manual. This minimalist manual leaves much for the purchaser to work out for him or herself. This can be a tedious process for some, perhaps almost impossible for others. Having the time needed to try various solutions I found the assembly not at all difficult. Once assembled, then I needed to learn how to operate this machine with its hose guide. This was just as challenging as was assembly. A good manual would, I estimate have saved me an hour or two of assembly time. For this reason I reduced my rating by one star. Completed and adjusted this is in my opinion a very fine 5 star product. Well made of strong and durable materials. For the price, I don't think there is a better Hose Reel available. During assembly, with parts in piles on my dining space floor I found I was missing a lock nut needed to attach one side of the basket. After searching everywhere for a day or so, I thought the lock nut missing from the order and I emailed the seller directly for one lock nut. Several days later the seller sent me a return form. A good machine, I was not about to return it for missing locknut. So I had Amazon send the request for the locknut. For a week or two no response. I thought what if a part broke like the belt drive for the hose guide broke, I would be out of luck. However Amazon may have requested the seller to settle my request; I do not know for sure but within another week or so I received an email from the seller apologizing for the delay, offering me the complete packet of all screws and nuts required with a very generous offer of payment for my time. I have never had before such a generous offer from any product seller. This company would be a 10 star earner if there was such a rating! Additionally I feel reassured although all warranties are for the most part of a year expired, should a part fail, though it may take 2-3 weeks, this seller would supply it.

Idk about 250' of 5/8 hose, but it is almost full with 100' of 3/4 hose... It seems to be built fairly sturdy. The assembly directions are not great but can be figured out.
