I used to think that washing my Mustang Mach-E was a chore, but this Giraffe Tools Retractable Hose Reel has turned my driveway into a high-end equestrian spa. My 'electric pony' has never been so pampered. The Reach: This 100-foot hose is intimidating. I’m pretty sure I could circle my Mach-E five times, water my neighbor’s prize-winning begonias two houses down, and still have enough slack to rinse off a low-flying bird. It gives me so much mobility I feel like a professional pit crew member. Keeping that 'Rapid Red' finish shiny used to be a mission, but now I can reach every angle of the pony without breaking a sweat or performing a balancing act. The Magic Trick (Retraction): The automatic rewind is basically a Bag of Holding for garden tools. In the past, I’d spend ten minutes wrestling with a kinked, muddy rubber snake that refused to go back into its coil. With this system, I just give it a little tug and it zips back into its heavy-duty housing like it’s being summoned back to another dimension. It’s smooth, steady, and honestly a little hypnotic to watch. Built Like a Tank: The ground mount is solid. I’ve given this hose some serious 'enthusiastic' pulls while rushing to get the soap off before the sun hits, and the base doesn't budge. The 9-function nozzle is also a game-changer; I can go from 'gentle mist' for the sensitive electronics to 'jet stream' for the wheel wells in a single click. Final Verdict: Gas stations are for suckers, and public car washes are a thing of the past. If you have an electric vehicle and you want it to look like it just rolled off the showroom floor every single day, get this reel. 10/10, the pony is gleaming and my neighbors are officially jealous of my setup.

Nice style for those who can mount to a wall. Fast retracting, functions very well even after days in the sun. Very easy to install, all you need is a mallet! Love the quality as well, the connectors are very Sturdy

I’ll put it bluntly. Wrestling with my old garden hose and trying to loop it neatly on the hanger so it looked pretty just was not happening anymore. I couldn’t bear to leave it in such a state of disarray for all the Amazon drivers that begrudgingly deliver my 10,000 packages to see. So I got this, and now I have no idea why I didn’t think of it sooner. This thing rocks socks, man. It’s sturdy, easy to install (you can apparently screw it into concrete, I just used the stakes and put it in an unused part of a garden bed), and I’ve had no issues with it. Hose retracts and coils up nicely inside, with about 100 feet of hose to work with it’ll do all your hosing related tasks just fine.

I’ve only used this a few times but I’m impressed. It works exactly the way it’s supposed to. As you get close to the end of the hose it’s a bit of a workout pulling against the spring that will eventually retract the hose, but this is to be expected since it has to reel in 130’ of hose. There is a lot of plastic in the construction, but I suppose this helps to keep the weight manageable. It looks like it will be particularly easy to unmount to store inside during the winter. I’m pleased with the purchase, it’s nice looking and practical for my needs. If I didn’t need 130 feet of hose, I would have purchased one with a shorter length which I expect would be easier to fully extend.

I have been looking at the Giraffe Retractable Hose Reel for some time. I hate tripping over the hose because it is too heavy for me to coil up so I just pull it aside. However it sure looks like a mess. One day I noticed Amazon had a discounted price on this product and I decided to take the leap. I am so glad I did. This is easy to use and winds itself up with out any stress or strain on my part. It set up easy and I have put it on my Christmas list for the backyard. Hope Santa is listening. I get great water pressure, no messy coiled up hose scattered all over, it's easy to use and makes watering so simple whether it be flowers or my yard. I really need another for the bird bath in the back yard.

If the hose guide mechanism did not break within the first few uses and/or Giraffe Tools' customer service would actually respond to any messages, this product might have actually gotten 4 or 5 stars. After unreeling and retracting the hose maybe 3 times, I noticed that the hose guide that is supposed to evenly distribute the hose on the reel during rewinding was not moving side to side along the guide rod. Of the few times that I used the reel, I never let go of the hose during rewinding and always controlled the speed at which it retracted. After popping off the front cover, I noticed that the small plastic belt that moved the guide and rod had come off of its gear cog. After a bit of struggling due to the tight space, I managed to get the belt back onto the cog. I unwound the hose and tried to retract it again, but the belt almost immediately came off again. No matter how slowly I let the hose rewind, the belt continues to come off of the cog. I have to literally keep the cover off, kneel in front of the reel, let the hose rewind inch by inch with one hand and help keep the belt on the cog with my other hand for all 90 feet of hose. I tried reaching out to Giraffe tools for a warranty claim or customer service through both their official website and via email but never received a response to either. Steer clear and don't waste your time or money with this company or their products.

Great product. Works as expected. Did have to drill into the side of my house or put in a post for it. The only complaint is the handle it comes with. Doesn't have a good setting with good pressure. Just change it and you're good to go
