i have very healthy, fine, curly hair which means i struggle with lasting hold, my hair gets weighed down very easily and is prone to build up. this gel is incredible!! it is definitely on the thicker side, which can be intimidating if you have fine hair but i take some in my hand, spray water on top to help it coat my hair better when i apply it. it feels a bit sticky but i promise after you diffuse your hair and scrunch out the gel cast, it's super soft and bouncy but you maintain the hold and have no frizz. it's great, forever will repurchase. i've tried other gels from aveda, ouidad, and curlsmith but this one is so much better & a lot cheaper. also the scent is very clean/natural/slightly citrus smelling but very subtle, which i prefer because i cannot stand hair products that have overwhelming scents. ... show more

This gel is so amazing!! It gives my 2b waves amazing definition and hold with no frizz! There’s a noticeable cast once your hair dries, but hair feels soft once the cast is scrunched out. I use this gel on wash days and refresh days- it’s that good! You can add a pinch and blow-dry it in ; you can use this in damp hair and let it air-dry for a shiny finish (with some hardening); or my preferred way is to use this in dry hair, and then you get a nice natural finish with nice control and texture. I ordered this thinking it was the answer to my naturally curly hair because soany people DO LIKE IT.....I have good amount of hair but each individual piece is thin so idk if it was just not good for my type or what but it just worked the same as any other cheap gel IMO......I have just given 4 stars because I just didn't see anything extraordinary or standout about it .
