Simple to hook up and use. I connected a Playstation 2 and it looks great (well, as "great" as a 25+ year-old game console can look on a 65" LCD screen anyway). Powered it from the USB port on my TV, too, so no need for a separate power wart. The only real trouble I had was that my TV (a Samsung) tried to detect what kind of device was connected and spun on that for a while, but that's more the TV's issue than this converter. This solved a problem we had with older DVD device players and newer TVs. The TVs we wanted to connect our DVD/Blu-ray players to, had only HDMI connectors and cable terminals. This device will allow you to change their AV connections to a HDMI port out to the TV's HDMI in port.
