The media could not be loaded. It has a good consistency and super easy to use. You do have to work rather fast or do a small section at a time for the glue to work well and seal it after you finish applying the gilding. It will cover a good amount of surface.

The jars of adhesive and varnish aren't huge but you don't need very much. They came with two smallish paintbrushes; one for the adhesive, one for the varnish. I was eager to try it the products with some gold leaf I had purchased so I opened up the packages and brushes and just dove in. The paint brushes, as you can see in the product description pictures, are sort of smaller versions of the kind of paintbrush you would use to paint your walls. I found the brush picked up quite a bit more adhesive than needed and it was hard to apply the adhesive Only where I wanted it or to make precise lines or shapes. After applying the gold leaf to a few small, glass, jars I covered with the varnish. Then I went to clean the brushes so I could use them again. It was somewhat difficult getting the products out of the paintbrushes. Next time I'm going to use really, really cheap paintbrushes like you get in children's water color sets. The bright plastic handles with just the little tuft of black bristles. You can find them a dozen for a dollar. I think I'm going to use those for the adhesive at least as they will be easier to control the amount and the smaller head will be easier to "draw" the pattern I want in glue. Then I can attempt to clean or just recycle the paint brush when I'm through. I will probably still use the included brush for the varnish as it will cover the entire design or project with a few smooth strokes.

I'm using this glue on paper with gold leaf material. It says to add water. It doesn't need it. The water is used to dilute the glue and help is spread farther for large pieces like wood or a wall. Used with any water the paper will instantly warp. Without water, it's perfect. Wait a min to dry, then apply. I noticed a lot of people had issues with their brushes getting hard. Just put the brush in water once you applied the glue. The glue washes away instantly. Super easy. If you keep it out the mofo will dry quick and hard and your brush will be useless. It's a juggling act but it's worth it.

It worked great for my wedding project. You do need to follow the instructions and let it dry properly before using. I used gold foil leafs.

have done gold leaf for decades. these sheets immediately disintegrate making them impossible to apply/adhere. ended up going on like gold "dust", bad effect of cheap pot metal spray painted gold. seriously inferior look, not at all like gold leaf. left an insane mess that took forever to clean up.
